We are and were far from being in lockdown. We are restricted in doing things but as far as lockdown goes it's just a term given by the media. Once again we just played at this at the expense of many lives and we'll continue to do so a long time to come.

The Covid virus isn't going away anytime in the near future with some scientists predicting it will mutate into different strains.

As humans we are social beings and are highly unlikely to endure any further long term restrictions on thier liberty and I know people will criticise me for saying this but if we don't return to some kind of normality thier will be a financial crisis that is likely to eclipse the last depression.

We cannot afford to sit at home and hide in the hope the Covid virus will go away.

Agreed, health is without doubt important but if the worldwide economy goes then there will be not just covid but several other diseases and social ills that will even more devastating

I thought it was illegal but maybe I’m wrong, however horrible as all that sounds it pales into insignificance if we have global economic meltdown.

The answer to the problem is actually quite simple - get kids back to school, parents back to work and stop what has become in effect a govt. funded holiday for many.
