Four years ago MacMillan issued a free Murder Mystery pack to raise funds and I held my first Murder Mystery Fab Social. Almost 4 years ago I also started having a Fab social at a pub quiz in Paisley on a Tuesday night.

This Tuesday I will host the first of 5 quizzes created by MacMillan Cancer. Hopefully there’ll be enough interest and it won’t be a one off. It is to raise funds but any donations are entirely voluntary and you can use Gift Aid to give 25% more to your contribution.

I will have a few rules just to maintain some level of control.

Rules

1 Please behave as if you’re in a public place - no nudity, no swearing, etc.

2 No cheating - at the pub quiz we have to put our phones in an ice cream tub. (Ours has been decorated by the lovely TVCarol with hearts)

3 There are 6 rounds of 5 questions. Please have pen and paper handy. I’ve not worked out yet how we’re marking them yet or keeping scores.

4 I will post the Zoom link and password on here and in my status. Link to the Virgin Money will be posted on Zoom

5 Quiz will start at 8.30 and will probably be in two halves as zoom limits it to 40 minutes for free. I’ll have the link open from 8.15 hopefully to allow everyone to log in.

6 This is open to everyone but I will block you from the quiz if there’s any inappropriate behaviour.

It’ll hopefully be a bit of fun and get us chatting even when we can’t meet face to face. If we can raise some money it would be a bonus.

I may even put my make up on for this. First time in 8 weeks!

We do this with pub friends and we take a pic of our answers and send through pm/kik/whatsapp every round to be marked. Works great

I'm interested in this, you could have a look at the app kahoot as a way of scoring it, would mean people are entering the answers on their phone on a timer so not enough time to cheat.

Kahoot is awesome but it’s a four answer game so have options

I used to use it for my students and is a total kahoot
