Have you had anything positive happen during lockdown ?

I have a very special event happening later in the year thats making this lockdown just that little bit easier but god Im desperate to give someone a huge big hug & hope this lockdown is over by the time our special event arrives

Starting a new job, then instantly being set to home working

Contract extension is due next week, so fingers crossed I'll be back in Edinburgh soon

Done things I’ve been putting off doing continuously for months/years.

Reset my mind from the daily stress/anxiety from working. Longest I’ve even been off work previously was 2 weeks holiday.

Learned how to play ukulele a little.

Built fences and picnic tables for neighbours/family.

Kept my weight stable

Quite a few more...

Have reconnected with friends, got accepted for university after a lifetime thinking I wasnt good enough for it and have loved spending all this extra time with the kids.

Being honest I can't think of anything positive that's happened, it's pretty much been life as normal for me, with all the restrictions in place that everyone else is (or should be) suffering too.

I was going a bit stir-crazy but a fairly significant event happened which really grounded me, and it made me realise that the current events are nothing compared to your real family life.

I have learnt to unwind and relax allowing myself some me time on days off instead of rushing around clock watching and visiting family. I miss my family but having free time is a blessing to me and was much needed.

Passed my NEBOSH GC, improved a helluva lot on my guitar, and I'm fitter than I've been since my early twenties. If the golf courses re-open and I can get my handicap back down to category 1 I'll retire from 2020 a very happy man.

Bought a pizza stone which really gives it an authntic bsse and the dough puffs up and is nice and light.

In fact I'm going to make one now.

General positives like less work-related stress from working from home, having more sleep, eating more home cooked meals and tidying up/clearing stuff out. And having time to watch Netflix!

In alot of ways life has been simpler as in no work stress, which has made me reevaluate what's important. So looking to change jobs for an easier life. Unfortunately no one is advertising or taking on just now but that's understandable

I accepted a job I really wanted at the end of February. I started it just as lockdown began and I had to have some really difficult conversations to furlough people I'd litterally just met.

I am however very grateful to be there because I was on a fixed term contract that had ended. Without it I dread to think where we would be now.

I have discovered I'm a bloody good cook, well my kids think so anyway. I also didn't realise that I could polish a car more than 20 times in a fortnight and the paintwork is still there lol

I have finally got round to painting the internal doors, frames and skirting boards - 4 years after moving into my house.

I have also realised how used to being on my owm I am - crazy spinster lady training almost complete

Never been so busy working,and nothing to spend the cash on ,so gonna get my oldest laser eye surgery and take my 2 boys on a well earned holiday as soon as possible.
