As someone who works jn various factories aroubd the country. I can tell you that. The same product made for M and S is the same as in Waitrose, Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrisons Aldi and lidl.

There are only so may people that mske do many food groups.

A couple of tweaks to a recipe and that covers it.

All your potatoes, onions and apples were picked and stored 6 months ago for example. King Edwards are the same regardless of shop bought in. There will be a slight specification difference only for each shop.

Sorry to burst the bubble on the food snobs...

So the vegetables i bought could have been prepared up to 4 months before purchase

Just to say I did get a refund for the items after I sent photos to their customer service web page explaining the situation, so they were good in that sense.

I love their ready meals and often buy food there, the quality is pretty good, but the prices are perhaps just a little OTT, I go and get the yellow sticker stuff and freeze it

aye but no but aye.. bottled water has to be placed in the bottle within a certain distance from the source. The highland spring factory is in the middle of nowhere with no mobile phone signal for 20-30mins from the plant..

Personally yes, I've tried some of the other supermarkets oen branded stuff that's identical. And I can taste the difference massively and I've a sensitive pallete, I can't eat spag bol etc made with jars of sauces cause I can taste the salt and it gives me the baulk, I'm a home cooked kinda girl and touch wood I haven't found much is MS I don't like apart from the gastro pub range, I find that stuff very salty and over seasoned

Was very lucky in that my daughter was working for M&S last Christmas and got us a very generous staff discount.

Had their roast turkey roll, yellow ticketed too, and it was delicious

Near Fenwick

Being a single dad I found christmas dinner so simple ordering online. Pickup easy and my guests had a lovely day. I also like the 2 for a tenner with wine meals. So for me yes i think its very good well worth the money and hype.

I've never bought anything from M&S, in fact I've never even been inside an M&S shop!

But the guy that pointed out that all foods come from the same factories is correct! Same grub different package!

Thats why when theres a contaminated batch of hummus or frozen sweetcorn, EVERY shop recalls the item! M&S, ASDA, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons etc etc.....so i guess I HAVE had M&S food.. it was just in Aldi packaging
