I honestly think I am an alcoholic, I feel I have to have a drink every night

I do not drink during day and only drink after 9pm, sometimes 8pm but mostly 9

but the point is, I cannot go one night without a drink, whether it be a few nips, few pints, or few glasses of wine

I am into weights and keeping fit and know fully what diet I should be on, but this is like an addiction to me that I always give in to

Wine was creeping in mid week so I've knocked that on the head.

Had too much the last 2 weekends if I'm perfectly honest but not going to beat myself up about it. If I think about what over indulging stops me from doing...(fuzzy next morning, don't feel like exercising...) I can reign it in. No need for a detox.

Aim for every 2nd night. It's a start

Having grown up with two alcoholics, the fact you see you may have an issue tells me you have more control than you think.

Use that control. Cut down, have alcohol free days and try to find other things to do instead.

To be honest I've not touched a drop since lockdown began, not much of a house drinker more of a social one meeting for a laugh with pals which somehow leads me to feeling eurgh the following day.

If we could get money back on our empty wine and vodka bottles just like the good old days of 'ginger' be able to book a holiday after this.

We don’t drink in the house. I’ve never drank when I’ve been around the kids, just can’t relax and enjoy it. Looking forward to a night out when this is over

I'm quite lucky, I'm not really a drinker. Gave up getting d*unk after I got my first hangover years ago. Now I just have an occasional one maybe 2 at an absolute push when I feel like it.

We’ve enjoyed a drink way more over the last six weeks than we would normally. A lot more free time to just try a wee something. Mr Pf is doing great at the cocktails!
