Basically asking how they have time for synchronised dances in the middle of hospitals in the middle of a pandemic....wearing PPE gear which is supposed to be like gold dust.... Suggesting it's in poor taste when so many routine procedures and more serious treatments, have been delayed or cancelled as the focus has moved to Covid 19.

Even in normal circumstances nurses like a good joke, have to otherwise the stress of dealing everything thy have to deal with 12 hr shift are shocking length if a shift so I am all in favour of nurses dancing on their breaks and the Katy Hopkins needs a reality check

Personally I think there's a time and a place for this. The way people are dying in hospitals across the UK the last thing relatives want to see would be staff dancing and playing on expensive hospital equipment. I'm not for a minute saying they are all not doing a fantastic job and no doubt a very emotional job just now but don't feel dancing in the hospitals is the correct way to portrait themselves at this point in time, there not doing themselves justice on the very professional way they have to be at this time. Of course they need to balance things with humour , humour gets me through most situations but there has to be a balanced approach and while we all respect the job they do they must respect the huge grief families are going through too through bereavements, lock downs, job losses, businesses folding and many other hardships people are going through. Tin hat on.

Key workers are allowed breaks occasionally, although they don't always get them! If it helps staff morale during this horrendous time to dance or sing or go outside to witness people's appreciation of their efforts, then I'm all for it.

Also, not sure about everywhere else, but I know 8pm was a shift change time on some wards last time I was in my local hospital.

You think having a minute or two of fun during some of the darkest times in modern history equates to giving an impression that all is well? I think you've really missed the point, and it sounds like your nurse friend could use a morale boost... the kind of boost which the NHS staff on tiktok were trying to provide.

We are all entitled to breaks and a little 30sec tik tok fun with your colleagues give you a giggle and takes your mind of the utter devastation and heart break you are working in. It’s good for the soul, I haven’t seen any that are disrespectful ones I’ve seen have been in outer ward corridors or break rooms or similar (so nowhere near the patients).

Give us a break eh!!!

And as for the comment about the police I’ve seen plenty of them in tik toks as well!!

The dancing and having 30 sec tik tok fun is not a bad thing, after a hard long draining shift, it's the purpose to lift morale, stress and worry which effect your immunity so nurses and drs trying to lift it not only for themselves but others in a sign that there is hope and to be positive.

Can you imgaine if all drs nurses were walking about like sour faced, crabbit buggers that's no good for patients at all.

The only issue I see that people are confused about is the wearing of ppe when doing so due to them being in low supply and still wearing these after dealing with patients , no face coverings on and not within the 6 ft rule so people will be confused about this as drs nurses should be kept protected too at all times especially if dealing with patients or going home to loved ones.

But like everything there's always crabbit buggers moaning about everything. No matter what anyone does it will be critized somewhere along the line.

Did you not film those moments and put them on the Internet so everyone could see. My guess is not as it could be inappropriate.

See this is my point, absolutely they should have fun and de stress together using whatever coping methods they need to but to then film it and post it is the part I find incensitive . Some of the best NHS vids I've seen were doctors and nurses cheering and clapping and having fun together but it was while they were sending recovered patients home, even a wee coriographed dance routine would have been appropriate at that time too. As it would be celebrating their successes in doing their jobs and showing a true reflection on what they do daily.

When this is all over and the world slowly goes back to normal and the pay disputes for NHS staff starts happening again , pollitians will look back and say, hey you coped so well you managed wee dance routines at work, at the worst time the NHS have ever seen you managed fine. I personally don't think they have helped themselves posting these vids.

I don’t like the woman at all but I do think she has a point. I’ve personally been annoyed at the videos of NHS staff and police all congregating to do stupid dances etc.

The police in particular get to me as I phoned 101 about large groups of men walking the streets and letting off fireworks and was told that the service is overstretches just now so they have relaxed policing anti social behaviours and minor crime but they have time to throw shapes

I’d like for some of the offended to come and be on the frontline and then see how they cope.

There are multiple emails everyday telling frontline workers to look after their mental health, there are growing concerns in a lot of health boards that this is seriously beginning to take its toll on staff mentally, so if 30 seconds of a little dance on tik tok gets someone through another week of this then good.

Was just chatting to a doctor this morning walking our dogs..shock horror!!

And she says she has never fels so low in all her career and if it wasnt for her dogs as she lives alone and being able to still work out in her garage she wouldnt k ow how she could cope.so excuse these front line workers for wanting to let a bit of steam off I a very very high pressure environment.

Anyone having any negative comment on frontline staff just now, I'm not sure how they can stoop any lower (although where Katie's concerned, I'm sure she'll find a way) and really are clueless to what these people are facing. I'm in awe of the people working in hospitals and care homes. They really do need to unwind sometimes, otherwise I don't see how they would be able to get through all this. Get a grip, making a negative comment or an opinion on a swinger site saying i feel is inappropriate is the lowest thing than can happen nowadays. Get a grip . I'm not driving unnecessarily, I'm not leaving my house multiple times a day but passing an opinion is stooping as low as it gets. Really ???

The problem with the forums is people are afraid to speak honestly about how they feel about particular subjects for either fearing the forum elite or potentially missing out on a shag . I fear neither and will always give my honest opinion, to bad if you don't like it.

I can see both sides but lean towards the view that its maybe a bit much spreading it all over social media as like it or not, it does give an impression things are not too bad. Totally agree with the humour/allowed downtime as do we all but think it's a bit off the amount of these videos around.

I'm sure no one would deny the hard work and difficult scary circumstances but yeah....considering the families who have lost relatives it may seem a bit off.

I'm in awe of the people working in hospitals and care homes. They really do need to unwind sometimes, otherwise I don't see how they would be able to get through all this. Get a grip, making a negative comment or an opinion on a swinger site saying i feel is inappropriate is the lowest thing than can happen nowadays. Get a grip . I'm not driving unnecessarily, I'm not leaving my house multiple times a day but passing an opinion is stooping as low as it gets. Really ???

The problem with the forums is people are afraid to speak honestly about how they feel about particular subjects for either fearing the forum elite or potentially missing out on a shag . I fear neither and will always give my honest opinion, to bad if you don't like it. "

Well if your going to make rediculous posts ie "making negative comments about NHS staff" you can't understand how they can stoop any lower blah de blah, then you should expect to be called out on it. Like I said many times , people are doing way worse than posting some comments on a swinger site. Take off the blinkers and don't be so immature. One last time for the hard of hearing, I fully support the NHS and my friend and all the hard work they have to do at this time but posting dance videos filmed in hospital where loved ones are dying in there 100s daily is in my opinion quite insensitive to the families that never got to say goodbye to their loved ones at the end of their lives where the staff are staging their performances. By all means release the stress and do what you have to do but there's a time and a place for social media.

How is this ridiculous? I commented on OP's post. I didn't reply to you, it has nothing to do with you. Yet you'd like to think my comment was regarding you? You're allowed your opinion, so am I. If you want to take it personal that's not my problem. Try sitting next to someone's bed waiting for that person to die because family can't be there. On more than one occasion. That's just absolutely soul destroying.

Let them have a few minutes of silly to get through their days without self-righteous pricks like Katie Hopkins saying they can't

We are all entitled to breaks and a little 30sec tik tok fun with your colleagues give you a giggle and takes your mind of the utter devastation and heart break you are working in. It’s good for the soul, I haven’t seen any that are disrespectful ones I’ve seen have been in outer ward corridors or break rooms or similar (so nowhere near the patients).

And as for the comment about the police I’ve seen plenty of them in tik toks as well!!

I've found myself laughing at some of the most horrendous and darkest points in my life. It's my coping mechanism.

Did you not film those moments and put them on the Internet so everyone could see. My guess is not as it could be inappropriate.

See this is my point, absolutely they should have fun and de stress together using whatever coping methods they need to but to then film it and post it is the part I find incensitive . Some of the best NHS vids I've seen were doctors and nurses cheering and clapping and having fun together but it was while they were sending recovered patients home, even a wee coriographed dance routine would have been appropriate at that time too. As it would be celebrating their successes in doing their jobs and showing a true reflection on what they do daily.

When this is all over and the world slowly goes back to normal and the pay disputes for NHS staff starts happening again , pollitians will look back and say, hey you coped so well you managed wee dance routines at work, at the worst time the NHS have ever seen you managed fine. I personally don't think they have helped themselves posting these vids.

I wouldn't post a video like that or participate in one as I know it would be misinterpreted by some and look bad. So whilst I don't judge those who do....a wee part of me goes "awww naw...." as I know it will give folk like Katie Hopkins an opportunity to have a pop.

There’s nothing wrong with having fun. Especially in hard times like these. The problem is putting it on social media.... nurses have to follow a code of conduct. There aren’t supposed to be pictures of them in uniform, no bitching about the NHS, nothing that could reflect badly on the profession. I’m not sure how these videos have been allowed to be shared, I’ve heard of nurses being put in front of a tribunal for much less...

NHS have gave out special guidance on social media use at this time. People from all different parts of nhs been on social media with Different messages about social distancing and testing etc and now clinical trials are ramping up we will be using it to promote recruiting.

The only hard rule is not breaking patient confidentiality so a few nurses singing or doing tik tok in prep rooms or in corridors or in car parks is not breaking that. The videos of patients being clapped out of itu or out their wards the patients have to sign a consent and they have been released via health board press teams or by the families of the patient.

What I will say is this is the first place I’ve seen any negativity about them but I’m not surprised as some people would argue black was white on here just for the sheer hell of it another point is the be kind movement didn’t last bloody long either!

These are exceptional times and as I said further up there are real concerns about frontline staffs mental health. We are all working long hours and sometimes 30 secs of tik tok or something daft in a moment of down time is enough to get you through the Most brutal of shifts then that’s fine by me.
