"I was watching the news earlier thinking the same thing about all the workers in the new nightingale hospital

A nurse friend got a stern warning from the police for car sharing with 3 other nurses.

What do the police think they do when at work.

OP I’m sure if your house was on fire you wouldn’t be caring about Covid-19 and social distancing.

There were flats on fire in Glasgow earlier and families who have lost everything. Have to put everything into perspective.

14-16 between 2 engines, 4 in police car. 18-20 personnel going home to wife’s kids etc

Your missing the pondering part.

Some proximity issues are unavoidable. Mitigation effort has its limits. Make sense?

To an extent, so why are nurses car sharing being hassled. Advised not to use public transport.

Well a private car isn't a place of work, whereas a Fire engine or a Police Car is? I dunno.

Sorry dude , there only guidelines remember, just like excerise once a day. Don't come here complaining about breaches of guidelines when you defended 3,4 or 5 walks a day for dog walking.

Or you could show me the law or legislation that says they can't travel together in vehicles. Remember that wee defence ?

You can't defend one group and condemn others. Try being consistent mate, should we follow the guidelines or suit ourselves? ?

You never answered my questions though, what law were you thinking about what you observed and do we follow the guidelines or not. You clearly want to sit on both sides of the fence.

No laws, merely an observation and pondering moment.

At least deep brought something to the table.

Absolutely he did, some some situations are unavoidable during this pandemic , but then again some situations are avoidable like letting you dog out in the garden multiple times a day and simply taking it 1 walk a day as part of your own exercise time. You seeing the point yet or one of those people that just knows better than all the experts we hear from every day.

Someone still bitter

So you think the police were right to reprimand nurses going to work in same car although they can’t get public transport and work even closer in the workplace ?

Not interested in what precautions or risk assessments are in place for fire or police crews ?

I'm not bitter in the slightest mate, I'm just drawing attention to your hypocrisy, the hipocracy is happening all over so your not alone. I'm just highlighting what I have seen just as you have, the difference is I don't defend one group and make dissaproving comments against other groups. Comments like " are they immune to covid 19 "You do though. There are lots of people ignoring the advice and doing their own thing.

I can't say I give these things much thought.

However a lot of people are advised against public transport.

It's going to happen.

Sometimes the social Distancing is just impractical

Do you honestly think anyone wants to go to work and not follow social distancing advice?

Public services are desperately underfunded - one impact of this is not having enough operational vehicles. So many services take the decision about attending a call with proper numbers and sharing a car, or attending and putting their well-being at risk from being short crewed.

It's easy to criticise from an arm chair, it's not easy to be out there at the sharp end when you're understaffed, under funded and beyond under appreciated
