I'm assuming that his lack of care for anyone but himself, his only concern was his reelection and his money.

No interest in medical coverage for everyone, the scientific process, government expenditure on urgent needs, such as global heating and pandemic preparation etc. He's sociopathic in his lack of regards for others wellbeing. He'll continue with his fake news proliferation, win his desperate focus being his continuation in power.

You came completely out of nowhere on a thread about Trumps management of a global infection and said you believe he will try and change the constitution so he can have a third term, with the fact that Putin, an authoritarian dictator of a borderline failed state is doing so as your only point of reference. Not relevant to the topic in the slightest, and no evidence for anything you’re claiming.

You then follow by saying people called you ridiculous for talking about the virus when it was still in China. Why is that relevant?

Well anyone who called you ridiculous for saying the virus would spread when it was spreading like wildfire is a fucking idiot anyway. But just because Putin is pushing for more and more constitutional changes (and I don’t know enough about Russian politics to know if that’s actually true), doesn’t mean Trump is.

I’ve said repeatedly in this politics forum that accusations are nothing without evidence. Find me a reputable link supporting your theory and I’ll consider your position. If it is just a pet theory then I’m sorry, I do find it ridiculous. Trump has a high approval rating for such a negatively represented president, but it’s by no means an overwhelming number that would allow him to make sweeping changes to the constitution. The beauty of the American system is it’s checks and balances lifted directly from classical democratic political theory - Trump would need to do something fucking monumental to push through such a dramatic change. It won’t happen. I’ll bet you a pint of blood. And I’m A+ so it’s valuable.

As for the first part, I was accused of scaremongering and of trying to cause a panic simply by quoting what officials were saying. Everything I said has come to pass. Now governments are saying what I was saying in January.

Changing the constitution is something he would probably want to do, and with the majority of Republicans in the senate he could probably pull it off. Having his buddy Putin show him the way isn't going to discourage him.

Honestly I think if he tried to change the constitution even his supporters would turn on him. He won by swinging a lot of floating voters who put faith in him to do what he promised. I think he’s achieved what he set out to do and has pretty much exposed the general malaise that’s existed in US politics for a while now. I think the dems know they’ll lose this election and are deliberately limiting their losses by distancing Sanders from any chance of being the democratic candidate. I do think they’ve seen the damage a hard left socialist candidate can do to even their go to core voter base and are trying to turn the ship around, knowing it’s too late to save the 2020 election. There’s a real vacuum in political debate these days and it’s largely caused by those who identify as the ‘left’. Trump has exposed that and politicos and academics are starting to realise that shutting down the debate doesn’t work, and leads to people like Trump being voted in. My prediction is the dems offer Biden up as a sacrificial lamb and revamp the party after this election. American politics tends to be more forward thinking than the UK, which is why I think they’ve refused to have Hilary be anywhere near the primaries. Once the revamp happens they might actually field a more centrist contender who can take on Trumps successor. 2020 isn’t the one to watch, it’s 2024.

Plus someone else on here has mentioned they think he’ll shuffle off back into business after two terms out of boredom. Well I don’t think it’ll be boredom as such, but the fact that he isn’t making any money out of being president. He’s a fundamentally selfish guy, and he’ll want to make the presidency work for him, which he can’t do whilst he’s in office, so he’ll do his two terms then go back to business is my prediction

I don't see Trump as anything more than swaying the laws more in favour of the super rich. Dismantling Obamacare, and overturning all the bills like the water protection act. So long as he is a puppet for the captain of industry they will want him there.

I honestly suspect this has been engineered by the DNC because they know that Sanders would have led them down the path of extremism like Corbyn and Momentum has with Labour. The idea of hard socialism is losing traction to the free market (as it should in my opinion). The dems know it so they’re pushing Biden to keep Sanders away from the party machinery.

The test as the expert at his podium said, can prove negative and 8 hours later can be positive deep in the lungs or throat as the virus expands.

He met 2 people that had it last week, would the don cover up a result if he could, we all know the answer to that.

The experiments are being led at Imperial College London by Mucosal Infection and Immunity head Dr Robin Shattock.

Having worked in big pharma I can verify that getting through the bureaucracy is the biggest part.

You might find they skip a few steps if it's urgent enough.
