"Bernie is the hope for the DNC and they shit on him for some reason. "

bernie only cares about bernie... he doesn't care about any of the downballot stuff of which he will need the senate and house to even try ad getthru medicare for all.....

bernie will win california.... hopefully now this leads biden to win texas

the best thing that can happen tues is for warren wins MA, Klobuchar wins MN (their home states) and then they both drop out the race....

the it basically because i 3 person race between sanders, biden and mayor pete... then pete drops out...

us dems overseas have basically 10 days to make up our minds for our primary.... i still have not decided what i am doing

No decent anyone in my opinion.

I don't know US politics well enough to know who in the democratic party is any good.

Indeed it does. As we are now witnessing - and will for the best part of five years and, probably, even longer.

mayor pete pulls out yesterday....

amy klobuchar pulls out today... endorses biden....

so basically we are down to 4.... bernie, biden, warren and bloomberg...

i'm betting warren probably bows out tomorrow night... and if bloomberg doesn't win any states he will go as well...

then it will be bernie vs biden.....

if it comes down to those two by thursday, i will vote for biden in the democrats abroad primary

Biden’s momentum is building with 2 early wins

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

By *abioMan

there are going to be 2 things to look out for tonight when seeing whats happened...

1) who "wins" the state......

2) if you don't win do you get 15% of the vote..... if you don't get 15% statewide you don't get any delegates!

interesting things.... Biden winning a lot of the south.. and doing it in a wider margin... virginia, north carolina, alabama

even though bernie won his home state, vermont... biden got more that 15% so will get vermont delegates

same with massachuttes... it was expected to be a warren/sanders fight, now its a warren/sanders/biden fight... and biden will get delegates there where he may not have gotten any at all.....

so even if sanders wins california... what biden is doing in the rest of the country means it looks like he is going to hold down any potential sanders lead.... and with the contests coming up in the next two weeks (michigan, illinois, ohio, florida, arizona, missouri and georgia) they are very much going to favour biden!

Boden may well turn out to be the candidate.

The conventional thinking is that radical ideas will not work and that you need a centrist to win.

That's what the Republicans tried to do but now have Trump.

Trump's success is based on the economy not tanking.

No, he is not responsible for its success but he is taking credit for it, as most politicians do.

Unfortunately for the country there are a lot of factors in place that could tip things in very much the wrong direction before the election.

I am asking specifically why you are repeating his insulting nicknames. His labels for people.

Again, that is what bullies do to undermine people without actually confronting any substantive matters.

If what you say is true you can see how pervasive this empty mudslinging is.

I also think Sanders is by far the most genuine candidate. I'm not arguing that point.

I agree. However, perhaps there is enough to demonstrate that there is support behind "socialism". Particularly from the young and there will be a slow shift.

Perhaps this would be more likely to achieve those aims than radicalism which tends to lead to reactionary pushback?

i think the audacity of trump supporters to call biden "creepy" is huge....

so lets tell people what actually happened....

a few ladies complained they felt uncomfortable with him being overly-tactile at times...

not one of them said there was anything sexual in it at all..... see thats a smear!!!

so to compare biden to trumps history of alledged sexual assaults (remember if you are famous you can touch them in the pussy!!!!) you really want to go there?

anyway... breathe.... my view of last night...

it was a better night that joe could ever imagine!!!!

never imagined he would win texas or minnesota.... the fact he took two of the 3 states on sanders/warrens backyard (Warrens now official done!).... ran up the score in "SEC country".....

even though sanders will win california the rest of what happened last night is going blunt whatever delegate advantage he would have gotten....

next couple of weeks are very much biden states..... so we can see how sanders now responds!!!

In 2015, Biden massaged the shoulders of Ash Carter’s wife, Stephanie, during Carter’s swearing in as defense secretary; Carter actually turned, mid-speech, and put his own hand on his wife’s shoulder to make Biden step away. And though Stephanie wrote an essay for Medium defending Biden for comforting her as she was “uncharacteristically nervous,” many women watching were made extremely uncomfortable.

During Sen. Chris Coons’ swearing in earlier that same year, Biden leaned down, cooed in his 13-year-old daughter’s ear and kissed her, all as the girl kept pulling away. Her mother had to tap Biden’s shoulder several times to force him back.

Bit weird though isn’t it?

i think you'll find yang and some of the other candidates in some part of the next "biden" administration....

the next interesting question may be who is asked to be biden's vp running partner......

stacy abhrams is a name you are going to hear a lot...(i wish she would have decided to run for 1 of the 22 georgia senate seats up... but she keeps saying no!)

safer bet may be Kamala Harris... but i think she would make an even more kickass AG....

I could also see a pete buttigeg being secretary of state, that would i think be a role absolutely suited to him!

As in the UK - comrade bernie and his far left socialism has been totally rejected (for now). Instead Biden (who probably dont even remember he won this morning) cleans up the votes.

However, demographics are key when it comes to elections and Sanders got the huge Hispanic vote (funnily enough, people who left their far left countries because of socialist policies leave to another country and vote far left)

The Democrats opened the door to mass immigration for votes and the Republicans said "oh yes please" because of cheap labour.

In the end none of these 2 will ever seize power again. The dems will keep flooding the country with the 3rd world whilst the Republicans rub their hands together for wealth. And all the whilst in the background they are and will lose power.

The dems dodged a bullet (literally) this time but in the end socialists will reign supreme , another country will be utterly destroyed.

The globalists will have their etopita

The established order of the Democratic party has put its own survival ahead of the needs of the people of the US. They have decided that the US needs a repeat of 2016. Trump did not win on a ticket of 'back to normal'. Boldness, ambition and a genuine change of course won over the status quo. Buttigieg, a late frontrunner that dropped out, hasn't covered himself in glory, his campaign was based on a new era of politics but he's ended up endorsing a man that epitomises the old guard. The fact is, the candidates deeply rooted in the centre are simply trying to prevent Sanders winning the nomination, if not winning the presidency. Biden's track record on federal spending is poor, he's a dreadful public speaker and Trump will make mincemeat out of him, just like he did Clinton in 2016. The polls may show Biden beating Trump but now he can't hide as much, he will really struggle in debates, against Sanders next month and Trump if he is to win. Half the states will have voted by the time of the next debate but I think it might be too late for Sanders. Biden will have a poor debate against Sanders, even if he wins the nomination it'll take a toll on his chances of being president. Having said this, the Democratic party is not a centre-left party and it is unsurprising the established order aren't particularly keen on giving someone who is really just a mid-left independent the nomination.

The election depends more on external factors than anything the Democrats do.

Coronavirus, the economy or some other external event.

"The election depends more on external factors than anything the Democrats do.

Which 'external factors' decided the 2016 election?

Russia invaded and successfully annexed Crimea in 2014 after Ukraine chose a path to the West. Normally, such a course of actions undertaken by a hostile country wouldn't see the US elect a president who was on good terms with Mr Putin.

In June 2016, the US suffered its worst mass shooting when a terrorist opened fire in a gay nightclub with two legally purchased firearms. Although it has suffered one even worse than that since, it was the largest at the time.

In 2013, Russia granted asylum to Edward Snowden after he disclosed the nature of surveillance programmes ran by the federal government. Again, it would be an unusal response to elect a president whose links to Mr Putin were clear at the next election.

You can point to other external factors like the Syrian civil war, islamic terrorism (that mass shooting in 2016 was a part of) but world events leading up to 2016 would indicate the Democratic candidate, and their actions, does matter.

Oh the USA election costs are insane. Actually, that's probably what decides when candidates drop out. When the writing is on the wall, the money men likely just stop funding candidates. At that point, candidates have no choice but to quit.

A lot o what you have claimed is just not true is it?

Sanders is not "far left". By any estimation he is pretty mainstream for Europe.

Latin American states have fluctuated between left and right wing governments so I don't think you can assert that those immigrants necessarily left far left countries.

There is no evidence to suggest that the Democrats are "flooding" the US with anyone.

Legal immigration into the USA rose steadily from 1943 to 1988 at 640,000 per year. There was then a significant spike to 1991 of 1.82 million (Ronald Reagan and George Bush Senior) before falling steadily again to 1999 (Bush Snr and Clinton) before rising under Clinton to 1.1 million. It then rose to a peak of 1.3 million under Bush Jr in 2006 before rising again in 2016.

All of the immigration "floods" except for one came under Republican Presidents.

Which aspects of socialism do you not like?

The free health care? The free education?

One of Trump's most memorable expressions during the debates, and activity on Twitter, was how he referred to Clinton essentially being bent. How can that be classed as external? Clinton being bent was frequently used as an attack line by Republicans. And it was something she simply could not shake off. I honestly cannot see how you can take that as 'external' when it played such a prominent role in the election of 2016.

To start, I did not say that all elections are completely defined by external events.

We have just been discussing the use of derogatory names as a methodology used by bullies and repeated by everyone.

However, once again, it was a very close election result yes? Trump actually lost the popular vote, correct?

Is it not very possible that without the external FBI investigation reopening and the Russian interference it could have gone the other way?

I do not know if this election is going to be close, but the identity of the Democrat candidate will probably have less effect barring a huge gaff or rally than the state of the economy or the effects of Corona virus come election day.

If you disagree that's fine, but I'd be interested to know why.

Just looking at the video clips of gropey Joe. In an effort to be introspective

If someone strokes senators young children on the head while standing behind them then proceeds to stroke their cheeks and faces with both hands for quite an uncomfortable time before bending down and sniffing their hair then kissing them on the top of the head so much so one parent even intervened.

All plain to see in real time. All available on YouTube for forumites to see.

What does that tell you about a future Potus? Are people comfortable with that?

sanders has a "black person" problem... its what killed him in 2016 where clinton crushed him in the south, and he still has that issue now which showed up big time last night....

looking back... sunday kinda showed up why bernie is where he is...

the day after south carolina, Biden took the day off campaigning and went to events commemorating what happened in Selma, Alabama... Bernie went off Campaigning to California

The American media portray him as far left. "Socialism" is a dirty word in the states.

He gets similar treatment to Corbyn over here.

CreepyJoe Biden is going to get dominated in the debates. The more I see of these clips of Joe calling people names and stumbling over interactions the more you wonder what are people thinking voting for him over Bernie.

probably because he is still more coherant in a debate than trump....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNtbjnUrwO4

That’s the counter argument one idiot is better than another at coherence? Biden has concerning issues and you know it.

Did Trevor Noah also contribute to the 12 minute montage of Creepy Joe’s behaviour?

Just seen the clip of Biden offering the Detroit union worker outside and shushing the hell out of his female aid. Real nice guy.

The words coming out of Biden's mouth about Coronavirus seem infinitely more coherent than Trump's.

So yes, as democracy in the US provides a choice between two idiots you pick the one that will do less harm don't you?"

At least we are on the same page they are both idiots.

Yep.

The Biden version may at least be more stable though.

I also get the sense that he has some overall intention, however bumbling, to do something for someone other than himself.

Biden is awful. He doesn't stand for anything and he can barely express himself. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Trump beats him easily. Sad times.

"i think the audacity of trump supporters to call biden "creepy" is huge....

so lets tell people what actually happened....

a few ladies complained they felt uncomfortable with him being overly-tactile at times...

not one of them said there was anything sexual in it at all..... see thats a smear!!!

so to compare biden to trumps history of alledged sexual assaults (remember if you are famous you can touch them in the pussy!!!!) you really want to go there?"

Both Trump and Biden are associated with Jeffrey Epstein.

is there any irony that the person who voted 99-1 against the coronavirus relief bill is the 1st senator is the confirm to have Covid-19...

stand up Rand Paul!!!!

also asks a few questions... cause apparently he was at the republican senate lunch on friday.... and was at the Senate Gym (the only gym in DC open cause everything else is shut) as late as this morning!

Yes I do.

Dem party (run by the Clinton's) cheated Bernie Sanders in 2016 and have done nothing to change in the last few years. If they lose massively this year, then maybe, just maybe... They will do some self analysis and sort themselves out. If you cannot see this, then check yourself before you wreck yourself lol

not really.... because of the situation now he may end up getting a lot of the stuff he wants anyway... such as the 15 dollar minimum wage, the huge infrustructure spending projects ect.... the only thing he wont get is medicare 4 all....

in fact being in the senate he will probably get a better say in that at this point in time...

wisconsin will be a toss up... this now put probably arizona and georgia in play as well....

bernie getting out his early now also means barrack and michelle obama can now get into biden's campaign to get out the vote....

You really talk a lot of rubbish at times fella. Everything you say is from far left spin from CNN , MSNPC or the outrage mob on Twitter.

And no one cares about the child drone bomber or his mrs.

No he just questioned people’s blackness if they vote for the other idiot. This time on one of the most influential radio show for young black votes.

He’s out of his depth he’s too old and makes too many mistakes.

We laugh in this country about the last elections choices but the US got a real Sophie’s choice coming up.
