The longer the better, we do really well out of trade with the USA under WTO and don't desperately need another deal with them.

Have you read the whole interview?

It’s not saying that the EU deal I more important it’s just that structure is already there.

It also says unless the Eu moves substantially on agriculture there won’t be a deal.

That’s the problem when you have multiple countries all pushing there own agendas it’s very difficult to get compromise.

Of course I read the whole interview. This does not change the fact that the UK has to wait its turn to start talks.

You can understand it the way you like it.

The official's message is clear and explicit

I think that Germany and the whole EU will be economically successful after brexit. All trade agreements remain in the EU and the next ones are waiting for signature or are at the end of negotiations.

Why are you so fixated with the uk doing badly?

I hope that the EU prospers and so does the UK.

I don’t need to see misfortune on others to make myself feel better or need myself proven right just so I can say, told you so.

Brexit is happening so either you try to find positives and make what you can of it or you sit in the corner, do nothing and keep telling people how shit everything is.

I am not fixated on this point. That's why this forum is to exchange comments. I just wrote the facts.

Do you think I want bad for the country? If you think so, you are wrong.

It is not my problem that you see the world and Brexit only by pink glasses.

Where can I find Brexit positives? Give me examples? So far there are only bad predictions.

Thats not quite the truth is it, the UK's gdp for 2019 was higher than germany's, in fact they almost went in a recession in the year.UK gdp growth was 1.2% for the whole year Germany's was 0.6. Now brexit has been confirmed we may well see the UK's growth improve again.

Most of the doom predicted by remain supporters has not come to pass, of course it is early days yet but at the moment the disaster has not happened

I noticed the economy in the UK in the last quarter, not the whole year.

Why would it be a disaster? There was no real Brexit yet. By the end of 2020, nothing will change and maybe the transition period will be extended indefinitely. Nobody knows that now.

So you think cherry picking one set of figures for one quarter is a good way to judge the performance of a countries economy ?

Keep believing that your wish for brexit to be a failure will come to pass, whatever happened to the recession that the chancellor said would happen if we VOTED to leave, oh yes it didnt happen

I gave the last quarter only as an example that the economy is stagnating. What will happen in 2020 time will show.

Again. I don't want Brexit to be a failure. Where does this idea come from? The problem is that the facts show something different.

And again

Real Brexit has not yet happened. Why would something bad happen to the country? Don't write something I didn't write.
