It's happening in most developed countries. You hit the nail on the head there. Self righteousness is too high with these people that they have stopped listening to other opinions. I used to think that every country goes through phases/cycles of both right and left wing rule. But that happens because when one side loses, they try hard to fix what went wrong for them in the elections and try to come back stronger. But this time around, I just see the losing side throwing tantrums and calling the people who voted the winning side stupid/racist. That is not how you win back the votes I don't see this political tide turning anytime sooner which is also bad for the country. Just like capitalism, democracy is also driven by competition. Anyone who is really interested in the truth, or the facts as they say about this presidency and the danger of this dictatorship thinking so called president, I urge you to look up : Laurence Tribe, leading scholar on constitutional law. Carl Loeb, expert on constitutional law, professor at Harvard University. There are many others you can look up as well, that will inform you exactly what a sitting president can do, by constitutional law, even if he is a nut case like trump, if he declares a national emergency. If you are capable of understanding constitutional law when a national emergency is declared, this presidency should scare you. Anyone who is really interested in the truth, or the facts as they say about this presidency and the danger of this dictatorship thinking so called president, I urge you to look up :

Used to be a staunch liberal. But life is lot more fun when you become a centrist and call out frauds from either side without having to come out with random statistics to defend the ones I support.
Political conversations are funny because the state of the world is funny. Suddenly liberals are asking for more censorship and banning. Liberals are making social media statements like "If you are a Trump supporter or Brexiter, don't talk to me"
These were the kind of things conservatives used to do in the past and still do in some countries. Social media has never been more interesting."I like to consider myself an objective observer. I once sat aghast on here when everyone wanted to crucify a 15 year old lad for wearing a MAGA cap and adopting an embarrassed grin when an old fraud banged a drum in his face. The hysteria was hilarious. And what’s funny is the lad just got paid a fortune by CNN.
