Well today is the day we leave Europe at 11pm tonight. Something which I voted against but hey. My thought just now is what is going to change as of 11pm tonight ?

The BBC said over the next year there won't be much change, you can still go in the EU line at passport control, your mobile roaming will still be the same etc etc.

From what I understand from it all is nothing much is going to change straight away but we are going to feel the effects in the long run. I work in the motortrade and by god the effects are showing already with some suppliers moving factory's from the uk to Slovakia etc.

Poorer really lol if we were to be independent we would all have less in our pay packet as taxes would rise drastically for us to be able to afford to be alone plus europe will not accept us as an independent country they have told us that over and over again look how annoyed europe are that we are leaving that tells u who it affects more

You are correct that taxes may rise as the SNP (I'm not a fan btw) would follow the scandinavian model where you pay higher taxes however they being a more equal and higher standard of life for all and as per many a survey reflect in the overall harmony, well being and health of thjse nations.

I'm happy to pay more tax I'd it means an end to food banks, homelessness, a reduction in suicides and generally a better quality of life for all.

I dont know know you however I would suggest any tax rise of 0.5% would be minimal to you unless you are a millionaire or billionaire....get my point.

Europe would not accept us as an independent nation. Of course they would.

I actually called the Police on Friday asked if any change for owners of European firearm certificates, reply no change

you can still use the certificate to take your guns to Europe.

Taxes would likely rise but what you really need to understand is that Scotland's economy would change significantly. More control mean more opportunities. This is EXACTLY the Brexiters argument. The issue with that argument for the UK is the EU countries will begin to shut the door UK imports and source within the EU where possible. Why would the French buy products from the UK when they could source elsewhere within the EU?

As for Scotland re-joining the EU, what are you on about? Spain has in the past raised objections due to its own situation but this situation is different. Scotland would have voted to leave the UK because the country left the EU against the will of the Scottish people.

Scotland would get accepted quite easily. The Scottish deficit is higher than the EU target for new members but a number of countries have joined with higher deficits. Croatia joined in 2013, when their deficit was at 5.3 per cent of GDP which is above the 3%. Scotland would need a plan to reduce this deficit which would likely mean tax rises.

If you honestly think that leaving the EU affects the EU more than us then you really are failing to grasps the situation. Whilst leaving the EU creates a shortfall in their books the damage to the UK economy will be significant.

There are no Brexit winners apart from those who are in a position to make a lot of money out of it.
