I actually laughed at this......his properties seemingly threatened with attack. It’s a shrewd move- doesn’t actually have to be carried out but hit Trump personally in the pocket and he’ll back off.

Obviously, I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to an attack but the thought of POTUS and the meltdown he’s going to have makes me smile. I am bad.

Iran has made it clear that their gripe is not with US citizens, rather than with Trump, personally and have put a huge bounty on his head and threatened and published addresses of, all his properties. If they then have fewer people going there, it will bleed him dry. Again. But this time there should be no return.

Europe invited Iran to talk, but europe cant gurantee Iran safe passage through Iraq to get to the EU.

If I was Iran I would consider nuking Israel and bombing the iranian oil fields.

Whilst not linked to Iran, a US drone was shot down in Somalia by al-Shabab a couple of days ago. 1 man from the US military and 2 contractors were either killed or wounded.

I’m sure if they can, they will. It seems about targeting the man, rather than the nation, which is savvy. It shows they understand his motivations in this, and the one thing that concerns him the most- his ego.

Just saw a clip where Melania Trump was asked what her new years resolution was...

"Peace on the world" was the answer..... (not a resolution unless she actually meant to say "Shit on the world piece by piece")

Ironic... just a bit...

Trump's response is "You can't say it out loud" (also confused by a resolution and a birthday wish) but then no thought Trump ever has should be said out loud.... or tweeted...

If I was Iran I would drop doggy do on the greens at Trump's favourite golf course. But I think that's a bit over the top and he would probably go straight to nuclear over that...

Nice or not, I predicted exactly what would happen, Iran have said they are targeting Israel and Saudi Arabia and threw in the Emirates too.

They also said they will attack on American soil if the US responds and Secret Service agents with machine guns have taken to the streets around the white house to secure it.

The only thing I cant predict is if the US will now attack the cultural targets, because thats a war crime and the army should say no, even if ordered to do so. But they are american so I cant predict.

Nations still go against what their people want and use propaganda to justify their state terrorism and we the people let it pass because our leaders said its our special relationship.

Just because people on the other side of the world look different speak different and perhaps eat different doesn't mean they are automatically the devil's.

The very few who were against the Iraq war were correct. We have alot to worry about if the majority of our fellow citizens easily believe the news agenda or politicians and lack critical thinking skills.

No wonder Brexit won the vote.

I imagine the powers that be in Iran recognise this, hence their declared response is designed merely to save face rather than hurt or provoke.

I note several images in the media of the missiles on the ground, inside the bases. Unexploded. No warheads?. Saving face. For Iranian consumption?. 80 US forces reported dead by Iranian state TV. Trump just needs to sit on his hands and do nothing. Iran or their controlled militias will not be able to contain themselves before launching further attacks . If US forces are then killed , then Trump will have no option but to retaliate.

You'd think so but Rand Paul (Republican) has very publicly criticized Trump saying after tearing up an agreement, placing an embargo, an assassinsting a general someone would have to be "braindead" to expect Iran to come back to the negotiating table. Basically calling Trump and Pompeo braindead.

If anyone had found WMDs when Iraq was invaded they would have been on display on the front page of every newspaper in the world. Embarrassingly America declared war on a country based on bad intel, but conveniently made a lot of money for Bush. Even the Americans, INCLUDING the right wing admit it was bad intel and the war on Iraq was unjustified.

The most I could find was 8000 in a single attack. Roughly the same as the final death toll of 911 supposedly caused by people without even a firearm.

I'm not saying the 50 000 lives didn't matter. I'm saying that 16 times as many people were killed in Rwanda without a WMD. Why did America not intervene? If Rwanda was an oil rich nation do you think America would have stood by or 'brought democracy' to their nation?

One day in the early 80s I stood in mu back garden and watched Hawker Hunter aircraft firing at targets on the ground. These were civilians. There were so many dead that the mortuaries good not handle the load of corpses and families were called to identify bodies stored in refrigerated rail cars. Mugabe's Red Brigade were then responsible for 20 000 deaths in Matabeleland many of whom were tortured to death. The leader of that Red Brigade is the current PM of Zimbabwe. We are talking about terrorists who committed the most awful crimes against humanity and are celebrated by our government.

These countries sometimes need a stricter hand in control, if they dont have it groups like ISIS pop up.

Sometimes this strict hand results in a muslim world more to our liking, sometimes its not really how we like things.

The only thing between the warlords fighting ISIS and the ones who served Sadam is that we agree ISIS need to go. We will never share sadams view that a village that tried to kill him needed to go.

Iraq had had WMD's and had used them but the job should of been finished during Gulf War 1 and not let Saddam off for a few years then go back in to finish the job

The only evidence of WMD ever found in Iraq was items sold by US and Europe to Saddam.
