Mostly the people in charge, then we'll vote to change them with the implicit instructions that we voted leave and we meant leave, hopefully they'll throw out Swedish white supremacists first (I hate Nazis), then Swedish cooks (I hate cooks) then Swedish bums (I hate the Swedish work shy). Tell me again why you left that progressive utopia of Sweden? ![]()

BREXIT is going to happen and it is going to happen on 31 Jan 2020. That is definite. What isn't definite is whether all the UK is going to end up on 31 December 2020 with a BREXIT in name only or just Northern Ireland. Either way either all the UK is going to become an EU rule taker with no say in the making of those rules or just Northern Ireland is.

"Erm..... can’t quite believe people don’t realise that we officially, by law and with the agreement of both parties , leave the EU ( with a deal ) on 31 jan 2020. Big Duh!!" False. The UK enters a transitional phase that expires Dec 31. It has 11 months to agree and ratify a "deal". That deal also needs to be ratified by 27 separate governments and various regional parliaments. Otherwise, it is the hardest of hard exits.

"Ignorance rules the waves" . What worries me , is not the ignorance of posters on here ( people like me ) , , , but the ignorance of those at the very top of government, who called for and campaigned for brexit without really realizing what they were campaigning for or voting for ,,,,, the best example being the very top , ( The Prime Minister ) who voted for brexit then voted against his own parties deal , then voted against it again , then voted for it , then on becoming Prime Minister negotiated a deal where he says there will be no border checks between UK ( mainland ) and UK ( Northern Ireland ) while his Brexit Secretary says there will be ,,, so leavers celebrating that we are leaving should actually be asking how we are leaving , and is that acceptable and is it what they voted for ,, I suspect alot are accepting it is leaving because the press are telling them so

So why would he even pretend to give two shits about any of this?

No , not really , I am a remainer and I am basically asking leavers what they mean by leaving , the example I gave being the prime minister who voted for brexit ,against a deal , against a deal , for a deal ,created his own deal which his brexit secretary agrees with but says is different from what the prime minister says it is .My suspicion, now, is that leavers are at the stage of accepting whatever they are told is brexit so they can claim "we got brexit done " ,,this became apparent as soon as we were told that no one wants a border on the island of Ireland , by the same people who were tellling us we want to control our borders ,,

For it to change, 27 countries would all have to agree.! So, if we really do do-Brexit in one year, without a deal, then we really are in the shit!

" And that's about five years worth of work they need to squeeze into 11 months. So good luck with that." Indeed. Farage says he called off the dogs after Johnson promised to adhere to the Dec 31 date - deal or no deal. His faith in Johnson's integrity is, um, er, admirable. ![]()
