They'll do what they do with every other public service - contract out the management while keeping the brand above the front door.

The taxpayer keeps the risk and the private consortium keeps the profit.

It all depends on how well the trade deals go after Brexit? If they go tits up then the NHS will be sold or part sold

They won't sell the NHS outright as thy can't get away with that. They'll privatise it slice by slice. And they'll likely start upping the price of medicines little by little too.

Keep up everyone. The most culpable are Blair and Brown when they massively sold off the NHS to PFIs. It was labour who initiated the sell off of the NHS. Duh.

And the delection game again. Blair shouldn't have done PFI.

But the Tories have been in power for over 9 years. During that time, they seriously underfunded the NHS in real terms. Waiting times in the NHsS were recently found the be the worst ever. The Tories are about to be in power for at least another 5 years. Their pledged numbers on building new hospitals and new nurses have already been roundly debunked. The NHS is on its knees. The Tories have left it there. I see no reason this bunch of Tories will do anything to actually improve it.

What else? The Tories voted against the creation of the NHS over 20 times.

Thatcher tried to dismantle the welfare state, including the NHS.

Jeremy Hunt co-authored a book calling for the NHS to be replaced with private insurance.

How many clues do you need that the Tories want to destory the NHS?

A few untrue statements appearing here.

PFIs were invented by the Conservative Government of John Major and continued by the Labour Government of Tony Blair.

They were a mechanism for funding the construction of new infrastructure, such as hospitals, that allowed the capital cost to be kept off the public sector books.

They appear as revenue charges - the cost of leasing buildings from private consortia.

The issue today is about the provision of services.

GP practices always have been mostly private consortia operating under contract to the NHS - they refused to sign up in 1947 to become employees.

Increasingly, we'll see NHS services bundled up and put out to tender, just as we saw with the railways.

They'll be run for the profit of the share-holders, while the state will keep the risk.

Privatise the profit, nationalise the risk - that is the Conservative ideology.

They are giving some money, just to keep it on life support, not the real investment it deserves.

Don’t worry its not your problem, soon NI will be in the EU and we’ll be out, so your country won’t see any of it

You dont "buy", you tender for contracts put out by Health Authorities.

Has Virgin Healthcare made a profit out of the NHS?

Of course it has - winning the contract increases its share value even if they make no money on the contract

Yep, plus run the service down so it appears that the best way forward is to privatise this bit, then that bit etc

There is overwhelming and repeated evidence of the many lies Johnson has told. These are not smears. They are facts, very easy to find if you bother to look online. He's been condemned by his own words time and time again.

Here you go. Look for yourself. There are many of Johnson's blatant lies here, alongside those of other Tories.

One of the compilers of this list is Oborne. That man is the former chief political commentator of The Daily Telegraph. A man who would normally be Tory through and through. Johnson's lies and tactics are so awful and unceasing that he disgusts even Tories.

You either know what the political Party's stand for - or you don’t?

The Labour Party are ideologically married to social care, socialist constructs and retaining a social charter with the British people - no surprise that socialism goes hand in hand with the a Labour Party.

The Conservatives are ideologically opposed to all of the above and that is why fundamentally they are opposed to any form of socialist construct - especially a successful one that would question their entire ethos.

The NHS is the very epitome of a socialist construct.

Which Party do you think would ideologically support it and which a Party do you think would be ideologically against it?

My uncle works privately. He is currently working a long side the NHS to see which bits are worth selling off.

There you go. In black and white.

His brother. My father; Northern Irish man. Ex serviceman. Jeremy Corbyn supporter. ( I actually thinks he loves Jc more than his own daughter! Ha) Labour supporter, till he dies I suspect. Chairman of Momentum Plymouth.

I have to be honest. I’ve not got masses or if any, real information. But what I do know is that my uncle is currently away from home, for 6 months, working with the NHS to see which bits we can “ drop off”.

That is all I’ve been told.

What I don't understand is this; if it is in the Conservative DNA to sell off the NHS, why haven't they in any of the circa 45 years they have run the country?

Our aerospace defence force was just sold off to a private American company for £4 billion, so you know, of course the Tories won't sell off our assets still right? That was surely just a one off and when they say "the first of many deals..." Then they're just lying right?

What is sadder than tragedy? A tragedy we were warned about, but chose to believe otherwise and did nothing. More frightening than the corrupt nature of the dealings is the total ambivalence of the man on the street, the same people who will suffer in the end.

Because Tories try and limit themselves to one major thing per term...

Thatcher 1 - British Gas

Thatcher 2 - British Telecom

Major - National Rail

Cameron - Royal Mail

The NHS is the biggest and would cause the most outrage (hopefully, but most of you seemingly want the US style) so of course you save it until it's the last on the shelf and sell lesser things first, like our aerospace defence services.

The provision of health services is being sold off to private healthcare brick by brick. The endgame is a fully privatised system based on insurance. It will eventually be up to all of us as individuals to actually get out onto the streets to stop it. If we don't make a fuss, we are finished as a nation..the motto is 'Each For All' & we should be proud of our public services.

Unfortunately I have no faith in any of the main parties. They're all far to removed from normal people... And all government seems London centric with no or little interest in the rest of the country. (See policy on flood and coastal defences?) Let's get some politicians in who haven't had public school education and trust funds and see how policy changes when their half baked schemes affect their nearest and dearest?
