I'm not a millionaire. I'm not a tory but I do want out of the EU. I never wanted in it in the first place. I accepted the first vote but I bided my time and got this second chance. Come up in the real world in the North. You have no idea at all the feeling up here. A labour heartland betrayed. If you can't be optimistic then you have a problem not me "Right. I am from "the north". And I know why people voted leave. But the fact is, leaving will exasperate all these problems. The EU was blamed the the failings of the British government. I can be optimistic. But I am not blindly optimistic about the future for poor, disable, disadvantaged, elderly, young and otherwise vulnerable people in society who are set for a very very tough time. To be optimistic against all known information is just silly. We had several chances to vote for a better future. But people chose to vote a more severe version of the same thing we've had for years. | |||
