What do you think?

I'm abroad but a colleague informed me that you had to use a pencil to mark your vote.

Hmm?

This old chestnut. Pencils have been in the polling booths as long as I can remember. And how long do you think it would take for someone to rub out all those crosses and change them?? Smh

All elections are rigged. They always have been in one way or another everywhere, since the very first elections. Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive.

Near Taunton

Pencils are used as they don't smudge when you fold your ballot paper and place in the box

Ink does and would mark other parts of the ballot paper causing confusion as to which box the mark was meant to be in.

Candidates and agents watch the boxes being sealed at polling stations and then oppened at the count so no opportunities to cheat.

The GE result has led to all sorts of conspiracy theories.

Strange that they all seem to come from the political Left though.

I agree; it was rigged; by labour. No way should they have got more seats than the BBC exit poll predicted.

My Facebook feed seems to be full of stuff from people who are unable or unwilling to accept the result.

Lashing out at this group or that.

Perhaps they are just in the anger stage of processing the result, I don't know.

Que Sera Sera.

Yes, ended up with Callaghan's infamous winter of discontent.
