No rows of terrace houses, workers having their annual week in Blackpool, flat caps and whippets. All gone. Today's working class works in clean and modern industrial units, lives in a new build on old mine land and holidays in Florida. They have two cars, a good lifestyle, maybe even run a small business. The Conservatives want to raise the bar for them. Labour only wants to lower it.

"There is no solution. There will be no next election. The ownership of the UK by foreign multi-billionaires is now complete. Hard brexit. No trade deals. Blame placed on "foreigners" and all minorities. Drone population accepting everything that big media tells them, no matter how much it is against their best interests. Monarchy that will do whatever they are told and smile. House of lords that will do whatever they are told and smile. Judiciary that will do whatever they are told and smile. Government that will do whatever they are told by the billionaires and foreign powers that own them. Imagine a boot stamping on a face forever. This is our new reality." . Yes I'm one of them, I should have made an easier distinction like, they've lost everybody who doesn't read the guardian, is white, married, has kids and earns under 40k. That's who they've lost" That is the sad fact, labour have lost touch. Modern working people want the nice things in life, those that work hard resent paying tax to support the lazy workshy ones, the tories hve n opportunity to make some big changes on how we support the less able to earn a living BUT they also have to reign in the highly over paid bankers and company executives perhaps by themgetting percentage of the lowest salary intheir business, we need higher tax free allowance to help the lower paid. We also desperately need a discussion on the future of pensions, elderly care and how we bring the NHS to the 21st century it needs a cross party honest nothing ruled out debate, we have an aging popultion and we have to find a way forward that the country can afford but gives people the service they need

"What went wrong? Corbyn let Johnson have an election. From that point on, Johnson and the Tories made it all about Brexit as they knew that's what people would be voting based on. So the Tories could lie with impunity and ignore their awful record in government. As long as they kept shouting "Brexit!" loud enough and long enough, they knew plenty of people would simply hear that word. And people wouldn't stop to think, "but wasn't the Brexit problem caused by Tories? Weren't the Tories the one who failed to deliver Brexit for the past 3 years?"" "A combination of Corbyn finally deciding to push through with a peoples vote, the media lying on Corbyns name and policies that are seen as "too left" in the uk made him lose. The good thing now is the conservatives have nobody to blame for the next 5 years but themselves. They wanted brexit, they're going to be carrying it out and if brexit does get done, if the country is even worse, Labour will win their seats back as long as (mainly north) have a leader they identify with. Sad to see people prioritized brexit over damaging domestic policy but corbyn practically handed it over with this badly timed election. All the Tories did was scream get brexit done and thats the main reason Labour lost." Spot on. So the Tories could lie with impunity and ignore their awful record in government. As long as they kept shouting "Brexit!" loud enough and long enough, they knew plenty of people would simply hear that word. And people wouldn't stop to think, "but wasn't the Brexit problem caused by Tories? Weren't the Tories the one who failed to deliver Brexit for the past 3 years?" Wow, talk about wearing blinkers..! To many people, I think this election was all about Brexit. It's been the main thing they've been reading about and hearing about for years. The Tories capitalised on that. Labour shouldn't have kept blocking it then! Boris Johnson voted against a previous Brexit bill. He also blocked his own Brexit bill by pulling it after parliament had agreed to it. The idea that only Labour blocked Brexit is nonsense. All of parliament has been trying for 3 and a bit years to untangle this fucking mess. He has no where to go now, no one to blame , no JC to smear he has made a number of promises that have to be kept . If he keeps them then he will do well but his track record isn’t great and a strong opposition will crush him . The Tories will still ignore their fuck ups or try to blame other people. It's what they do. Just like you blaming the Tories for the car crash of the Labour result. Leader Front bench Policies Attitude Momentum All need to go within the next 12 months. Then start rebuilding for the next General Election in 2024." I'm pretty sure I said Labour lost because Corbyn let Johnson have an election. I think from then on, it was just a case of all the dominos falling.

"It seems pretty clear Labour lost because of Brexit and Corbyn himself. The Tories will now have to own Brexit fully, for better or for worse, which ultimately could end up helping Labour. And the next choice of leader will be crucial, obviously. . Your like the football team in free fall, you'll swap leaders alot until you start to realise it's not just the leader. If you can't win this election and you've not only lost it but been hammered 6-0 your in danger of not just dropping one League but becoming bury. Your leader is a problem but it's also your language, message, policies and more than anything your unwillingness to bend, everything you think is progressive and forward thinking cannot be rammed down everybodys throat that's why you've lost married people with children, they tend to be socially conservative by nature. At the moment your a party for single woke under 30 year olds, guardian readers and university lecturers. And that demographic ain't gonna get you elected Not true, I and many others are not in that demographic. This is our new reality." Ha ha ha.... that’s hilarious

Yes, they have. 55% of voters voted for parties who offered a second referendum of sorts. Did they not?

Is it satisfying to you to post the same thing over and over and over? Very little of Labour's campaign was about 'woke' issues. This is your own rather tiresome obsession. . Yea sure you just got hammered 6-0 by the worst Tory government in fifty years for nothing I guess. Good luck with future elections Very clearly I didn't say Labour lost because of 'nothing'. They lost because of an unpopular Brexit position and because of Corbyn. That's literally what the voters have been saying. No voters have been saying 'I didn't vote Labour because they're too woke'.. That's probably because your voice drowns them out, you have to listen carefully because it's a little bit more nuanced than that. " My 'voice' drowns them out? When I'm repeating what they've said? How does that work? An almost impressively nonsense comment.

"The idiots and the left wing radicals took over the party and the population didn't want radical racists running the country that's what went wrong. You could argue the Tories are the ones that attracted racist votes with their constant banging on about get brexit done. There are many that don't actually know what brexit means, they just associated it with immigration and other lies that were spun to them. The north voted a party in that ruined their areas, solely because of brexit and not actual policy, thats scary can this fucking bullshit about racists stop now 3and half yrs leavers been labeled that it’s a joke and offensive there’s a 17-4 million that voted leave every party as problems with racism wanting to control imigration is nothing new the whole world does it Racism got brought up in here by someone aiming at "left wing racism". maybe but it boils me piss it actually waters what racism is tossing racism about like a toy iv been call racist traitor chav thick northern cunt you name it iv been called it like lots of leavers on here We need to bury this shit now come together as a country don’t forget every one on here on both sides have family and friends who will of voted diffrent to them " Original reply mentioned racism and left wing radicals, not me. Clearly not everybody that voted leave are racist but the fact that some people care more about breaking partnership with the EU than Tories domestic policy in their area is sad to see and the Tory spin definitely had racist rhetoric that would attract those people. Corbyn was actually for a "left brexit" until his party made him become impartial. Maybe if Labour campaigned for leave too, the outcome might have been different, even with the same policies. It wasn't solely his fault Labour lost but it is what it is. Torys are running a majority for the next 5 years so lets see how "well" this country does under a Boris leadership with nobody to blame this time but themselves

If you can't deal with one mans opinion on the tinternet without being nasty bully boys you wanna wrap it up and admit defeat " To be honest I am sad for this country. I placed a vote which was in my own worst interests as a high income earner, simply because I am sympathetic to some of my lady friends who are single mothers trying to get by. On the flip side of that I shall have more disposable cash to help them out with so, its not all bad. Making me feel better though is having people like you remind me that even though the country will be worse off, a majority did it to themselves and deserve what's coming to them. Since I'm planning to move my business offshore, your natoonal self destruction is neither here nor there. Weren't the Tories the one who failed to deliver Brexit for the past 3 years?"" "One thing though, how did you get a vote if your "only here for the pound and are now moving your business offshore". You make it sound like your a non national?." Well again Boris Johnson voted and only gave up his US citizenship in 2017 so he didn't have to pay tax there. I was born in a British colony to British parents and was registered as a British citizen. But don't feel ignorant I have had to explain this concept to a number of British people who are unware that there was once a British empire. I am entitled to a number of passports. One through birth one through naturalisation and two through heritage. So my basic philosophy is that if you want to fuck your own up go ahead. I'll come back later to visit and switch the lights off

"You remind me of that spitting image song. I've never met a nice South African And that's not bloody surprising, man Cause we're a bunch of arrogant bastards " If I could have a pound for every Englishman who has quoted that to me I could fund my own political party. We shall forget that if a song like that were ever written about any other demographic it would be considered racist and offensive. But South Africans have a unique ability to laugh at themselves so you'd have to try a bit harder than that. Perhaps google 'farm murder images' and discover what they have to face on a daily basis and then maybe it will occur to you why a y, sex deprived troll on fab is like water off a ducks back. As to being a South African I'm actually a Zimbabwean. So that didn't work either. Then there's the fact that combining the three profiles I have on fab I have roughly 400 verifications most of which are proudly displayed. So if I had one hidden cam meet in seven months I wouldn't be drawing attention to myself on the popularity stakes.

Weren't the Tories the one who failed to deliver Brexit for the past 3 years?"You really do have a low opinion of the British public. I just feel sorry for people who were conned by the Tories. You seem to think that you have some superior knowledge than the millions who voted for the tories last night, they were not conned they are not stupid they voted because it was what they wanted. They voted tory for many reasons. Many of those reasons were based on lies told by Tories or their right wing press, though. Hence those people were conned. Logic. I know it's likely pointless saying this to you as you seem immune to logic. No logic dictates the people voted for something they wanted not because they were conned, as i said before are you that superior to millions of people because you can see they were conned and they could not or are you just bitter because you didnt get what you wanted? What I said was logical. You just didn't seem to understand me. Etymology and all that. And I've already said what I feel. I feel sorry for those who were conned. The poorest who need the most help are already suffering under the Tories. It seems likely they will suffer more under more Tory rule." It seems to me you are in denial mate millions of people didnt believe what i believed i cant possibly be wrong they must have been conned.

I wouldn’t disagree, Just a little ironic that if all the parties had told their MP’s to follow their constituents Brexit votes. Corbyn & Swinson would still be there to cajole Johnson into making some right decisions occasionally. It would also give all parties an “Out” should things go tits up. “We only did what the electorate told us to do?”. Instead their faffing & blocking has cost three years, theirs & many other good MP’s their jobs & given us another five years under the Tories in which they can pretty much do as they please. Overall a disaster for them of epic proportions. S

Yes they can be bankers and estate agents as well. These are not stupid nieve people. As I said elsewhere, More people preferred Boris Johnson and the Conservatives policies than Jeremy Corbyn and Labour's policies. Its so bloody obvious. " More people voted Tory. There's no arguing with that fact.

" Even though I've never voted Labour I did quite like Blair " Well he wouldn't have been completely out of place in the conservative party of the time - a little wishy washy and moderate - but not a complete outlier. It's odd though - most conservatives I know have a deep and passionate hatred of Blair that exceeds their dislike of Corbyn - and it's always mystified me, there's very little he did as PM that someone like John Major or perhaps Ken Clarke wouldn't have done in his place.

"Take Brexit & the last 3 years out of the GE & there is no way in the Darkest reaches of the universe , this result would have been so bad. Parlsiment F*cking around for 3 years & ignoring the referendilum is the only reason it was so bad. Believe anything else , then you understand nothing of the nuainces of politics. The story party may have won but not by that margin. " Look where they lost biggest, compare it to the referendum vote map. Anything else is flim flam. It wasn’t Corbyn, it wasn’t the NHS or Tory lies, It was the parties betrayal of their meat & two veg voters in the Labour heartlands. Any other excuse given is just denial of this fact. Basically they said “Well if you aren’t going to listen & ignore us we’ll vote for the guy we know will get us out”. Democracy won yesterday, party politics lost & just maybe they might now do as they are asked in future as if the Labour heartlands can do it as a show of democratic strength then so can anyone else. It now really is “Ignore your support at your peril & take nothing for granted”. S
