How can he continue to preside over a party that has suffered its worst performance since 1935. Seats that have been labour for generations ; where afterwards voters said the reason every family member voted Tory was Corbyn, but at the next election would return to the labour fold. Moderates in the party accept it was down to the Corbyn factor, but Corbyn and his cronies blame the right wing press. He should hang his head in shame and resign immediately

I was out in freezing rain yesterday in Southport canvasing and knocking up for the LibDems. The reaction I got on the door from people who voted LibDem in the Euro elections (many of whom were Tory Remainers) was that they were more scared of Corbyn's Labour than BREXIT. This election was Labour's to loose and it seems, from putting more effort into fighting Remain parties than fighting the Conservatives to putting forward policies and expenditure programs that many felt were unbelievable and unaffordable, that's exactly what Corbyn's Labour did.

We now have to accept that some sort of BREXIT is going to happen but, more than that, Corbyn's brand of Labour has to accept that there is no appetite in the UK for their kind of socialism. Labour must either change, and change now, or die.

To be honest if you'd have knocked on my door I'd have given you the same answer. They tried this brand of socialism in the 80s and no one wants it. It's too expensive and needs everyone on board for it to work, which they never will. I know a lot of people on here quote George Orwell and 1984 for it's reference to a surveillance state, but he wrote another book too called animal farm and the basic message of that is that some animals are more equal than others.

Maybe when the generation of kids that have grown up with it rammed down their throats by left wing lecturers with it in secondary schools and universities grow up they might get a chance, but It's probably a bit to niche and cultish to catch on and is not very appealing to your average man in the street.

I’m a Tory and a Brexiteer and m very happy with the election but I don’t think it was Corbyn who lost Labour the election . The analysis suggests it was the Blairites who lost it for Labour. The same Blairites who behind closed doors forced Corbyn to pivot Labour away from respecting Democracy ie the 2016 referendum and into the 2019 position of an undemocratic 2nd referendum .

Only 2 years before in 2017 this ‘toxic ‘ Corbyn was leader when Labour had a great victory and the Tories lost their majority so what changed in the two years ? It wasn’t Corbyn that changed he’s always been a hard left politician ,no it was Labours pro to anti Brexit orientation that changed and caused the disaster for them.

The extreme Remain Blairites are now calling for the head of Corbyn yet they don’t mention that even in this ‘disastrous election of 2019 he got more votes than Milliband did in 2015 ,Brown did in 2010 and even Blair did in 2005 !

Analysis of the precise figures ie the total number of votes Labour got under Corbyn this month compared to Milliband in 15 Brown in 10 and Blair in 05. This month Corbyns Labour got more votes than Labour got when under those 3 Blairites in 15 10 and 05.
