Does it matter? No opposition this week can halt the reign of terror that people have voted in.

How would they stand a chance of stopping them flogging off the NHS as an example.

All we can do now is sit back, and soften the blow with the knowledge that those that voted for this are going to find out the hard way how wrong they were.

If I'm wrong, I will gladly enjoy being proven wrong in years to come.

If you were wrong, well it's not going to be fun is it.

I'm not in the UK, so wishing you all the best, if you get a Con majority. There's too much stupid around, if that's the case

They won't though. The right wing propaganda machine is too powerful. They will just blame someone else.

Who can they blame now? The only comfort I can take from this result is that we have a Brexiteer in charge of Brexit and a large Tory majority , they will be completely accountable for what happens next.

Mrs May was a hostage to the extremists.

If this forecast correct, and Johnson has 80+ majority, he may well be able to ignore those extremists and pursue the moderate agenda.

Brainwashed. No.

Influenced by propaganda. Yes absolutely.

I think if the polls are correct then the Corbyn experiment has failed.

Let’s see what he does in the early hours.

I said exactly the same about the people who voted for Brexit.

They will find someone. Same as Brexit. Some have already been blaming remainers.

If the forecast is correct, he will have the freedom to lead (unlike Mrs May).

He won't need to keep assuaging the more rabid elements of his own party.

I think at heart he always has been a moderate.

But he is very adept at telling people what he thinks they want to hear.

Very good at saying one thing, and doing another, too.

If you ask me to look back five years from now, I suspect Johnson may be more moderate than he otherwise would have been if his majority was, say, five.

Who knows.

But it looks like he will need to come up with a different plan for Scotland.
