Would you be a politician?

I wouldn't.

After reading lots of threads on the politics bit, it's clear how entrenched, and often immune to facts, many people's positions are. I can only imagine how futile and draining it must feel to deal with that sort of situation all the time.

Then there'd be the added stress of newspaper headlines when you fuck up in any way. Or even if you don't fuck up, made up headlines and social media smears.

Then there's the anger and hatred. Whichever party you were in and whatever you supported, some people would revile you.

It doesn't seem like a fun job to me.

I imagine you would need:

a) a thick skin

b) never to believe your own PR

"Oh yes ...would be fun"

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic from that. Would you really want to be a politician?

"No I am to honest "

You could always join one of the other parties. The lying really is being led by theTories, by a factor of 20 to 1 at least...

Hard to argue with that. I'm sure somebody will soon pop up and say they all lie and they're all the same, though.

Well at least Boris travelled the country in his big diesel bus to tell us about his climate control measures.... well he would have if 5 protestors hadn't arrived and sent him into hiding again.

In fairness to Johnson, he also flew all over the place too.

I wouldn't do this job at all.

I imagine it's so hard to get anything actually done when the system is set up to stop any meaningful change.

If I was a Tory I would. Austerity is right laugh for them. Meanwhile they dick about making money for themselves and avoiding paying tax.

I'd be a shitty politician. I mean if I saw a child on a hospital floor I'd probably start crying. I couldn't be the cruel heartless bastard you need to be in that job. Don't have what it takes.

If you're posting on here and saying yes then you're a deluded idiot, the media would have a field day outing this info on you being a perverted swinging sex deviant who stalks people online and visits seedy clubs.

Actually the fact that so many of us clearly buy and support the same newspapers who would happily ruin our lives and break privacy laws to put our unpixilated faces in their papers, really brings question to their understanding of whose side they are on.

"nah i was thinking more of rock out with ya cock out"

Too many words. The recent election proved stupid slogans need to be short.

How about just "cock out!". People could chant that easily enough.

She's actually quite hilarious....

Anne: But why can't I say 'G******g' its a toy!

Everyone: Just don't say it!

Anne: What? 'G******g'?

Everyone: Anne!

Anne: I don't under why you can't say 'G******g'. You used to be able to say 'G******g'. A 'G******g' is still a 'G******g' no matter what you call it.

Everyone: ANN! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

I agree its not supposed to be fun. You got to have the balls also, if you’re weak you won’t last long.

I would love to.

But they would get me on sleaze allegations. Which is a shame as it’s good old fashioned fun sleaze and not Tory sleaze.
