Neither Russia or China were ultimately Communist. They were totalitarian states just like any absolute monarchy or fascist dictatorship. Command economies with state ownership of property rather than nominally private but at the whim of an individual.

I have not denied anything.I have asked you to back up your point but you have seemed unable or unwilling to do so for some reason. Nothing, absolutely nothing, that you have written indicates that any Labour policies are Communist. I really do not understand how you make your decisions if you assert something without having any information to come to that conclusion with. You misunderstand the contemporary usage of the word communist. It means "someone I don't like but it's a scary term so the discussion ends here" Same goes for the word Marxist, and on the flip side in certain cases the words racist and fascist. They are terms used by Social Justice Warriors - on both the left and the right (yes there are just as many right wing SJWs as left) to convey an emotional response and as a way to shut down discussion - not to begin one. And it's pointless to ask someone to give a factual response to an emotional response. | |||
