"Sadly, I think it probably will happen. Too many people don't seem to care about the damage it's likely to do. They voted for it, so they want it. It's bonkers. a lot of people seem to have voted Brexit as a "fuck you" to the establishment. But the establisment will survive the situation just fine. The people are the ones who will suffer from Brexit. Lots more seem to have voted Brexit due to economic and social problems in the UK, blaming the EU. Ignoring the fact all that stuff was down to the UK government. Again, bonkers." It is difficult to see why Brexit would cause any long term damage to the economy. We will continue to trade with all European countries, the only difference being that that may be minor changes to the rates of duty. In the longer term Brexit will mean cheaper clothes and food which in turn helps the less well off in society. If there was any danger of Brexit doing any long term damage to the country, the stock market would have collapsed. It remains firm. Removal of a lot of unnecessary red tape wi)l be a substantial benefit to British business . Tim Martin of JD Wetherspoons really knows how to run a business in a highly competitive environment. The spare price of hid company has risen from 54 pence in 1993 to £16 at the end of November. That is tremendous achievement in a business where many have failed . " If we go onto WTO some tarrifs go up and over 40% for our exports making them totally uncompetitive, is that what you call "minor" changes? " In the longer term Brexit will mean cheaper clothes and food which in turn helps the less well off in society. " Some will be cheaper, much will be more expensive " If there was any danger of Brexit doing any long term damage to the country, the stock market would have collapsed. It remains firm. " Seeing as the stock market is predominantly foreign business trading and reporting in American dollars, anything negatively affecting Sterling improves the stock market. " Removal of a lot of unnecessary red tape wi)l be a substantial benefit to British business . " Red tape, instead of just a sound bite, what red tape are you referring to and how will that be a benefit to British business, or do you mean lowering of standards? " Tim Martin of JD Wetherspoons really knows how to run a business in a highly competitive environment. The spare price of hid company has risen from 54 pence in 1993 to £16 at the end of November. " Funny how you always trot out this one single example of a Brexit supporting business, I'm surprised you didn't include Bamford as well so you could double it and have 2 sources of Brexit supporting businesses against the entire business world that states a WTO Brexit will be bad for UK business lol

"If you think Brexit will rid us of red tape, I'd recommend a visit to the doc. We are going to be drowning in the stuff. For 50 years, we have been tearing down the walls between countries and removing all the red tape. Get ready - it's all about to come flooding back, along with even more dreamt up by the Tories to "solve" the UK's border dilemma. " . Red tape is a billion pound industry in it's own right, just visit France or Italy In hindsight tearing down the walls between countries has had its unforeseen circumstances which we've yet to see the worst of IMO. If I had to make a prediction on all this I'd say we'll remain in the EU but I think it will be a very different looking EU, probably in around 6 years time.
