Ayr

Apparently, there's been a surge of people registering to vote in the GE on the 12th December - and two thirds of them are under 35.

That's likely because most of us older types are already registered.

There's no way to know how it will affect the outcome; but a higher turnout, more people engaging, has to be a good thing.

We've not lost faith in democracy - despite the inadequacy of our politicians.

Seen a news item that homeless people are registering to vote, by putting a local charity's address as their own. Organised by the charity

Bristol East

Pub in Bristol doing the same - allowing its address to be used by people who would otherwise be excluded.

It’s a very nice gesture to offer the disenfranchised the opportunity to vote .

They should all be applauded.

Let’s hope there’s a change of government coming in December because it’s desperately needed.

I think there will be a massive surge of younger voters for labour That shows the division this country has is also between the age groups .

Or in Northern Ireland where Sinn Fein voters vote early and vote often (yes, even if they are dead)
