So after watching the debate on ITV last night I was left wondering what it is that attracts voters to Boris, and all I can think is that given that most people probably have a fixed opinion of where they are politically, and are unlikely to change that viewpoint then its down to who makes them laugh! Hence a useless lying chancer like Boris becomes PM. Just imagine if there was no Boris - who would the leader of the Tories? Gove, JRM, Dominic Raab, Cleverly? A pretty grim choice! Not saying that labour have a great selection either but the election is going to be like Britains got no talent atm

He does play the Buffon rather well I'll give you that.

Out of the three he's still the most electable personality wise.

It is bizarre, isn't it? Most people seem to know Johnson is a serial liar. Utterly untrustworhty and without scruples of any sort. But hey he's funny. So that makes it all ok. Um... really?

I'm voting LibDem because that's the party that most closely aligns with my world view. Luckily I don't have to worry about tactical voting as, where I live, the only candidate that stands any chance of winning is the Labour candidate and it's far from marginal, Labour will win here, the only question is by how many 10s of thousands.

But it I lived in a marginal constituency I'd have a real dilemma.

I don't want BREXIT but I also don't want Corbyn's nationalisation program either (I really don't want to get into a discussion about nationalisation right now so just accept that I don't want it and I definitely don't want to vote for it).

My natural choice would be to vote LibDem, no BREXIT and no nationalisation but, in a lot of constituencies, voting LibDem could very well let in one of the other two that I definitely don't want. My response would be either, sod 'em and vote LibDem anyway or, quite possibly, vote for the candidate I thoughts party stud the least chance of actually getting an overall majority - which currently would be Labour. But if I thought Labour were actually on course for an overall majority then, yes, I would vote for the Tory to stop that.

And this is where Labour is really missing a trick. The best way to get Tory Remainers to not vote Conservative is to convince them voting anything else won't simply let Labour in via the back door. Yes, Labour may loose a few seats to the LibDems but it also opens up the possibility of winning seats were to Tory Remain vote switches to LibDem. It would mean that Labour would almost definitely not get an overall majority but, unless the polls change remarkably, there's little chance of that anyway, and it would be the best way to ensure that the Tories don't get an overall majority.

This might sound weird ...... but as a lifelong Tory , I wouldn’t mind Hilary Benn for PM. Reasonable, honest, considerate and to my mind ; honourable

That says more about how horrific Hilary Ben is. He's so bad, even a Tory would vote for him.
