"Jc is always shit on stage" This is amazing. You 100% proved the poster above right. In general I agree that these debates are pointless. The only way I would consider voting Tory is if they completely changed their egos as a party. And switched from representing banks, the ultra rich and themselves, to a party who represented the interests of the people. And to be honest, even if Johnson said that's where his party was going. I would assume he is lying. I don't vote Labour except in the instance to keep the Tories out. So not much that JC would say, could change that. But it is possible.

"Corbyn wants to take us back to the 70s nationalisation rolling blackouts and strikes. Boris is looking to the future x" Is he? It's Johnson who wants to take us back to where we were in 1959 before we joined EFTA. That's doesn't feel like looking to the future to me.

"Johnson tried to make everything about Brexit. Obviously trying to ram his nonsensical catchphrase home. Ironically, a bit of an own goal. He trotted out the catchphrase so often that the audience started groaning whenever they heard it. Corbyn's main issue was not picking a side he'd campaign on for his deal v remain. Then again, the whole point of his position is that he won't pick a side. He'll present options and let the public pick the result they want. But he needs a better way of communicating that fact. Lots of people think he's just being wishy washy. And the tories use that to keep sniping away at him. " People think it's wishy washy because it is wishy washy. He was accused of being wishy washy in his support of Remain during the referendum campaign and, apart from a brief period just after the result when he seemed to be pretty enthusiastic for some sort of BREXIT, he's been pretty wishy washy about since too.

"Ha it went pretty much as expected and although I agree Corbyn could have got his glasses straightened for the occasion he still came across as a lot more sincere and honest then Bojo Bunter - I mean, honestly, didn’t Boris realise saying the same thing over and over again only works if you are Trump? It just made him look insincere to the audience and as time went by he actually looked a bit rattled. Perhaps it was all the “your times up Mr Johnson” from Julie Etchingham that were getting to him. " Seriously, you don't have to be a Corbyn fan, or even like him, or be ready to vote for him; to believe that he has more integrity than Johnson. In fact, rather sadly, I reckon there are a lot of people who will be voting for Johnson who think Corbyn has more integrity. The problem is integrity, like sincerity, only works in your favour if you're actually saying what people want to hear and, if you are, that you will have the ability to deliver.

"Corbyn probably lost a shed load of votes to the Brexit Party and Lib Dems not answering yes or no to if he would back any deal he may or may not get from the EU. Johnson went back to Brexit too often and his advisors will iron that one out. Not surprisingly Corbyn just came across as an angry protester incapable of making decisions for himself. Johnson came across far more statesman like and even answered questions more positively and directly. Never been a great one for Johnson as PM but he showed signs of being up to the job. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Labour had a decent leader and clear leave or remain stance on Brexit they would walk the election, with Corbyn they have a small chance only as part of a coalition with SNP." Personally I felt Corbyn did address the questions asked while Johnson just kept falling back on "Get BREXIT done". Johnson definitely has a better delivery than Corbyn which does make him sound more statesman like when he delivers his responses while Corbyn often sounds unsure or confused to me and, when he does try to sound passionate about something, often sounds more like he's angry or annoyed. On this occasion I actually put Corbyn slightly ahead of Johnson but not by much. Pretty much a draw. I do agree with your general comment that if Labour had a different leader and/or a clear policy of either Leave or Remain on BREXIT they would probably be doing much better in this campaign.

The fat fuckwit is as much of a statesman as Trump is (ie not at all)" I agree with the sentiment behind your description of Johnson. Unfortunately I don't agree that that is the way he mostly came across during the debate. In presentation terms, apart from his over use of "get BREXIT done" he came across quite well, whilst Corbyn seemed somewhat dishevelled (crooked classes, seriously). Corbyn did land a few punches, especially the bit about 40 new hospitals actually only being 6 refurbishment, but no knock out blow and Johnson got the differing, indecisive Labour BREXIT punch in quite well. As Corbyn is behind he needed a good win tonight to catch up but what he got was a draw. If Labour are going to stand any chance of winning this election, or even just stopping the Tories from winning, he needs to seriously up his game.

On a vote of 52%, it's an unwise politician who climbs on the horse called bravado and seeks to accentuate the division rather than heal it.

Corbyn is more like the chair of a committee, trying to finding consensus around a table. It's a good quality - but when it comes to appealing for the popular vote to become a Prime Minister, people tend to look for charisma and communication skill, rather than finer technique.

"Yes, Get Brexit Done? They've had three years and more to get Brexit done, and made a complete mess of it. " I don't understand Johnson's argument. This is an election for our next 5 years of government not a second referendum. Considering that the EU won't give us another extension people voting for Johnson just to get Brexit done are voting for the wrong reasons. It's like buying an entire car just to get new spark plugs.
