Can anyone explain the logic to me why anyone would build any new factory in the UK, if the intention is to sell the product to the EU?

Local consumption yes, export to EU absolutely not!

It's a fact. Not a non argument. Economic uncertainty does not encourage investment.

But hey I'll take a non argument over shameless unabashed lies and the undermining of democracy any day.

Exactly. Tesla are building their factories where the greatest demand for their product is.

There was some talk that we might get an R and D facility here but that seems to have gone to Germany as well.

There would be no logic in doing so, that's why the UK has lost so much investment.

Brexit is all about the voice of the people. Democracy. A good example of the success of this principle is the employment of "one man one vote" in Zimbabwe, where the great leader Robert Mugabe took a shambles of an economy and turned it into the mining and agricultural powerhouse house of Africa.

"Where is the logic in saying another brexit nail in the coffin when it obviously has nothing to do with brexit. "

Obviously, you've missed this:

"Mr Musk also cited risks surrounding the UK's exit from the EU for his decision, according to AutoExpress.

Brexit [uncertainty] made it too risky to put a Gigafactory in the UK," he told the trade magazine."

Then again, you do have a very blinkered, ill-informed view of the world. Your bubble is truly tiny.

So.... given that 'leave' is supposedly the 'will of the people' and given than May's deal fulfilled that need to leave.... why are we still in? There was a deal on the table, it fulfilled the mandate of the referendum... so surely if it leave supporters that have prolonged the uncertainty. Brexit is not the will of the people. It is exhibit A on how fake news, illegal use of personal information and the right lie at the right time can be used to sway public opinion.
