Brexit uncertainty effects & causes

Uncertainty, we hear this a lot obviously with Brexit.

Uncertainty over Brexit is causing the reduction of investment in the UK.

Uncertainty over Brexit is leading to a reduction of job creation, which can de a direct result of a reduction of investment.

Uncertainty over Brexit has led to some companies closing down or moving abroad.

This is mainly for the type of leave voters that blame "not Brexit" but the uncertainty of Brexit that they say has been brought upon the UK by remainers holding Brexit up, which to me does not make any sense at all.

Uncertainty is over trading terms / barriers or lack of, as in uncertainty if we make things worse and errect trade barriers or stay as we are.

If Brexit held no negatives for business then there wouldn't be any uncertainty driving investment down like we're seeing , whatever changes Brexit would or wouldn't bring would be purely administrative if this was the case, businesses wouldn't be arsed either way of how Brexit may go and would still carry on as normal but that hasn't been the case.

The uncertainty comes about if we're trying to make things harder, more expensive to do, errect barriers between us and our closest trading partners, that's what's creating uncertainty for businesses and that's why in many cases investment is down because businesses don't know if remaining in the UK is going to be worth it.

If both scenarios "Leave or Remain" were win win then there wouldn't be any uncertainty.

This isn't a topic about if we should or shouldn't leave, we've had that question and that's been decided over 3 years ago, this is down to the uncertainty and how some people view on how it's created and why it's there.

It's a bit like the uncertainty of waiting for a cancer diagnosis. The uncertainty maybe unsettling but that doesn't mean you want the certainty of knowing you have cancer.

Well, in this case of Brexit actually happening, that is the worry for business and not as the ardent leaver would have you believe that it's only if Brexit happens or not as if either way is the same with no penalties.

It's becoming quite a popular excuse that leavers trot out for some time now, investments down because of the uncertainty, and not the threat of Brexit actually becoming a reality
