"No. It just means your vote actually counts in the overall scheme of things. " This is the key point. Under the current system, our votes are worthless in most locations. eg If you're a Labour voter in a Tory dominated area, the Tories will win anyway. So your vote is effectively ignored. And if you're a Labour voter in a Labour area, Labour will win anyway. Again, your vote is effectively ignored.

But also it opens the possibility of Scots in England voting SNP or people in Northern Ireland voting for the main parties if they want !

How those seats are allocated, open or closed voting, constituencies and how they work with PR, who gets what constituency etc etc I get the easy bit of % of votes vs % of MP's, it's the rest of it

My idea would simply be each party would appoint an MP or representive to look after a certain area ! Thier wouldn’t be traditional constituencies !

"Which version of PR would you like to see used here? " Straight percentage voting . It would be up to each party to provide representation for areas via councillors or mps .

"Israel has this type of voting. Which leads to small extremist party's getting in to power as part of a coalition. Also they are probably going to have a 3rd election in a year as no one can form a coalition " I’m not a fan of extreme left or right but if they are legal and people want to vote for them it is democracy !
