Im not sure if you've noticed, but this thread is about XR. Not a debate on whether or not man made climate change is real or not. The very fact we're still debating that in the "politics" section already proves that it's not.

Are you implying that electricity transmission will somehow cost more or be more difficult to engineer than oil or gas pipelines? The Middle East is already diversifying into tourism and manufacturing. Both aluminium and transportation. Saudi is trying to sell of Aramco whilst it's still valuable.
