" Not really, the vast majority neocons and supporters of neo-liberal economic theory are not my enemies, they are just extremely misguided. If I have enemies they are the authoritarians who use education (or the lack of it) as a tool to suppress knowledge and hoard wealth to the detriment of all. Like it or not we advance by collective endeavour not by individual effort. We all have a couple of choices to make in life. The first is, do we, like Newton stand on the giant shoulders of those who went before us to see further? The second and more important is, do we add our shoulders to the pyramid so that those who follow us can see further? It seems to me that we are reaching the point where this greed engendering modern supranational corporate free market capitalism is not just undermining this civilisation in its quest for wealth, but is endangering the not just the species but every species on the planet! I find the attitude of many unbelievable. I think it is best summed up in the ridiculousness of the corporate mantra of 'I don't want to hear problems, I want to hear solutions!'. Because this leads to problems being hidden rather than being addressed. Brexit is the result of problems being hidden rather than being addressed and then when the problems eventually broke a system the blame and cost being heaped on those who had no part in creating the problems in the first place. | |||

"I was chatting to a couple of people a few days ago and although they were leave supporters they would still vote labour, their main reason was that although they voted leave, they could not vote for the conservatives because they did not share their views on a things such as the NHS, Workers right, social issues and crime prevention. Also in the same respect a few months back I spoke to remainers who would still vote conservative because they could not trust labour with the economy, worried about paying more taxes and worried about a return to a nanny state. So considering that, would it be true to say being a leaver or remainer, at the election, party comes before people’s views on Brexit? And that is far stronger than just one issue?" These people sound very confused. Why would the vote leave if they cared about workers rights, NHS or social issues. That's just plain rediculous. For me it's easy. I would never vote for a party who promote tax breaks for the rich, don't care about the environment, don't care about people's rights, sell bombs to terrorists, vote against gay rights, etc etc. So that narrows the field. That doesn't leave me with any pro brexit options. | |||
