I would guess no. I think it will take until 2022 as per the original estimates prior to the referendum.

It depends on the results of the GE, but I think you will be correct, I can’t see it happening either

Ha! Then we start the campaign about rejoining the EU. We are never going to abandon our great nation to the mad whims of Brexiteers who are trying to drag it down.

Brexshit will never be because it was never meant to be.Time to wake up and get smart and leave the fantasy world. And maybe sober up too.

Then what will be left after you get rid of everyone who speaks out against all the bullshit?

A load of people who will do exactly what they're told regardless of how badly it effects them as long as the rich get richer.

If the impact of going one way or the other is just to piss off one or other group.

When let's just cancel brexit. The population can be less poor, retain our rights meanwhile giving two fingers to those behind brexit who just want to make money and avoid paying taxes.

Simple.

The only way Brexit is going to be cancelled is if the Lib Dems win more than 320 seats.

Now, never say never but . . . c'mon.

Lets keep things in perspective, even if Boris gets a majority and gets the Withdrawal Bill passed by jan 30, the trouble is only starting. This should be the easy part. If anyone thinks that its this bill and it's done, I have a (boris) bridge and bus to sell to you.

There is nearly 40 years of legislation he will have to pass along with the super duper easy trade deals you were told about.

3 years, 2 prime ministers, 2 General elections and the first step hasn't been achieved.

Be careful of what you wish for, its going to get much worse.

Indeed.

Jan 31 isn't the key date.

Dec 31 2020 is critical.

That is when all the trade and other bilateral agreements needed to be concluded and ratified.

If they are not, the UK is out in the cold and trading on WTO.

A brexit that's good for the majority of the population will not happen but I'm sad to think that an exit may happen driven by the Johnson clusterfuck of a government

As someone in services directly impacted already by this would hope that Brexit never happens. I have had to read reports very closely and can be categorical that shrinkage of economy will be catastrophic to the most vulnerable in our society. I have not met one single brexiter who can cite independent verifiable data for their argument. It's a terribly devisive time with loads of empty rhetoric chucked into the mix.

Will brexit happen on Jan 31st?

One more time then; as George HW Bush - "read my lips - No."

At least I made money on still being here. I've just logged in to Betfred to claim my winnings of £321.43 and should see it in my account soon.

I will bet against actual brexit (no deal) again before Jan 31st, as it will never ever happen so it's an easy way to keep making free money until they finally lump the tried and tested second referendum (really the remainers second chance) on us, maybe in May 2021 when the 'transition period' has ended and enough millions of EU nationals have been bussed in on the quiet to bolster the remain vote (and given housing instead of British homeless people, but how racist to say that apparently! It's not)

More delusional that racist. You sound more xenophobic than racist

I'll agree with you on Brexit not getting done than by jan 30, or even by the end of the transition period. My comments from above:

I cannot fathom why anyone would claim it won't. The man who lied repeatedly as London mayor, then lied his way into the top job in the Tory party will be given the vote of confidence by the electorate, or as good as, thus allowing him to pass his deal before the deadline. Although I think he may flounder and won't gain an overall majority, as some predicted, he will gain enough MPs.

The Liberal Democrats fielding strong candidates in Labour/Tory marginals (where the incumbent is a pro-European Labour MP) will help ensure the Tories win. It's no better than Labour refusing to stand aside in Tory/Liberal Democrat marginals.

If an election, dominated by brexit, is to end in anything but a Tory victory the Liberal Democrats and Labour will have to stop fighting each other.

No, I don't think it will ever happen.

How can over 500 Mp's vote in favour of a referendum then not let it though parliament because they didn't like the result.

We, the country, voted for a hung Parliament so its sovereignty (what people said was important to them in referendum) is doing its job. It is duty bound to safeguard the Union and work to the good of the country. Thank god they stopped no deal for instance.

C'mon don't cut him off in mid sentence. "read my lips. No more taxes". He then went ahead and raised taxes, Bill Clinton won the whitehouse on this promise.

Ironic you should use that quote, given we're talking about politicians going back on their word.

"Might as well start one now.

Depends who you vote for on December 12th.

The past three years have been an utter mess under the conservatives trying to sort the brexit paradigm.

We can not afford to waste anymore time, I think labour’s option is the far more the effective strategy, which attempts to bring the whole country together.

Do a deal, then a public vote on the deal.

The Lib Dem’s are living in a fantasy world if they think they would ignore the 17.4 million.

And the brexit parties stance is another fantasy world if they think they can ignore the 16.1 million.
