With or without a deal, is he calling bluff? I agree with the woman on sky news that he does that and that it is a tactic to blame the eu, northern ireland and labour as it wont go his way, what is your view?

"He will call a ge very soon ....let's see old jezzas reaction ...shit scared I think"

He doesn't have the power under the Fixed Term Act, unless 2/3 rds of all MPs agree.

So far he has achieved the sum total of zero.

Seven votes in Parliament during his tenure as PM and seven defeats.

He inherited a majority, sacked 23 MPs and now cannot even find support for the next day's menu in the tea bar.

The highest court in the land has found him to be acting unlawfully.

Plenty bluff and bluster, for sure.

But achievements?

His only achievement is becoming a national embarrassment.

Incorrect

He doesn't have the power under the Lisbon Treaty, you know, the treaty signed in 2007 that entered into force in 2009 but doesn't start till 2020

The Lisbon Treaty transfers all UK government control to the Riechstag and or Bundestag and when the Lisbon treaty comes into effect in 2020 11 years after it came into force the UK will have to replace all Union Jack flags on our tanks and replace them with pictures of Guy Verhofstadt smiling before driving them through the channel tunnel to Paris or Berlin or Scunthorpe instead.

That's after of course the Lisbon Treaty makes us replace all our money with the Queens head removed and a BMW logo in its place.

Yeah but he is currently boxed in by his own statements a d the actions of predesesors.

He has lost control to the opposition - he cannot have a GE till the opposition want it.

He re-hashed TM's deal won't go through the EU parliament or our own, both if he's unlucky.

Leaving with no deal is now blocked, without violating some Laws or by exploiting done dodgy loopholes at best.

In the short term this is good.

More and more people will see him for the blowhard he is.

His position becomes weaker - has to fight Farage for votes, that isolates the mainstream voters.

Then it's down to labour and the liberals to workout their stances.

More and more people will see that the opposition will do anything to stop democracy and the longer it goes on the more people will vote to get it done.Remainers cannot see that corbyn wants to leave and always has but has a problem as his party doesn't want to.So he says he wants to be the interim PM knowing full well that he does not have the numbers, in the mean time boris will take us out corbyn will be secretly happy while condemning him and hope to win a GE on the back of it.

You're not wrong about a lot of that. Did you read my thread titled "Labour, BREXIT and 'no deal'"

Personally I trust Corbyn even less on BREXIT than I trust Johnson on almost everything else.

A.) I said labour and the libs have to sort out their stances. I didn't say work together. Realistically half of labour needs to join the lib Dems at this point.

B.) I know plenty of people who say they want this "done". They don't mean leave, especially not without a deal. I really think you're overestimating the strength of the "just leave" vote, and importantly in a GE, it's distribution.

C.) To paraphrase David Davies "a country isn't a democracy unless it can change its mind."

To paraphrase Mogg "it might be sensible to have multiple public votes regarding leaving the EU."
