"A piece of legislation that received its second reading in Parliament. It would not have done if Parliament was prorogued." Although it was confirmed that it would be reintroduced in the next session and included in the Queen's Speech.

"When would the bill be introduced? How long would it take? How has the fact that Parliament is in session prevented the development of legislation for the new session?" Because you need a queens speech to list the bills that would be discussed in the next session.I know you remainers like to railroad bills through the backbenchers but its not normal protocol and Bercow wont be there to help them.

"When would the bill be introduced? How long would it take? How has the fact that Parliament is in session prevented the development of legislation for the new session?" originally it would have basically been killed in the prorouging of parliament because it didn't happen they scheduled the 2nd reading...... passed, and they also agreed to add a "roleover" adendum to it, so this time when prorouging happens it won't die, and the process will continue on from where it is now

How is that relevant? Parliament is in session. This, very important bill was passed and continued. There will still be a Queen's speech. Parliament therefore did not have to be prorogued weeks ago to prepare for the Queen's speech did it?

Marking the end of the parliamentary session, in readiness for the Queen's speech, which will mark the beginning of the new parliamentary session. Parliament has to be prorogued before a Queen's speech. Keep up.

"My problem with bills like this is that in reality they don't work, stalkers laws don't work nor do revenge porn laws or r**e laws. The victim is often left to their own devices cos they aren't taken seriously & incidents aren't linked especially if the occur in different geo areas & if they get to be believed they feel degraded & made to relive it for years by police & legal procedures." Then it has to be improved. Legislation is complicated. It has to start somewhere though doesn't it?
