No but probably less than it costs the EU to move from Brussels to Strasbourg and back each year. .

That isn't the point though us it, we have had all these scare stories for months about chaos etc etc and yet the people on the ground have quietly been sorting it, there may well be a lot of red faces come brexit day

Of course it is the responsibility of everyone to be prepared for Brexit, much as it is the responsibility of our Government to provide clear, unambiguous advice about what exactly we need to do - and when.

Let’s not forget that it is rarely necessary to “be prepared” for sunlit uplands and as of today, the chances of a deal or no deal in a months time is still somewhere between a million to one and fifty, fifty.

Its nothing do with the government these are the companies dealing with it on the ground, they say they are ready to deal with brexit no matter how we leave.

Will there be some issues for a few days while folk get used to the new systems yes I expect there will be, first time I went through the tunnel I had to learn how it worked now we do it without thinking. I know you want brexit to be a disaster but most people just want to get it finished and move on

When you go abroad do you just turn up or do you find out how much baggage/liquids etc etc you can take ? Some of us do plan and have no issues, others you see having real problems because they dont plan, hauliers are professionals and most that use the tunnel/ports will have been watching what they have been doing and will be well aware of the change that will occur, of course there will be the odd one that turns up unprepared

The last report I saw said only 15% of hauliers had invested in plans for economic isolation.

Why would they anyway, when the country's leader says the odds of needing to are a million to one against?

Freedom, you make it sound as if we're living under the Nazi jackboot.....

Rat hole Countries, I thought one of the bollocks phrases of Brexit was about opening up to the wider world. Does that mean we'd have a list of "EU Rat hole countries" post Brexit UK will not deal with...

It is good to see some proactive arrangements put in place . How are Why are we having to make this preparations ? We were promised an ‘amazing deal’ , things should be better after we leave the EU not worse??

How can anyone claim to be prepared? The truth is none can be because as brexiteers so often point out none of us know what is going to happen, other than any bottleneck that emerges will effect all caught by it regardless of what steps they have taken to minimise their personal risk.

I use it more than couples of times a year. To be honest it’s not bad outside of the pick days but even that’s not good as it was 10-15 years ago. So usual technical problems and 2 or 1h delays etc. That’s my experience

Rat hole countries. Blimey.

Money before freedom. What planet are you on. Brexit is about ordinary people sacrificing money and freedom for the benefit of a few at the top.
