Because of the war in saudi arabia, why are the west even starting a war the especially the usa? The best thing is to not of course to start one and let they live their lives there.

But if you do want an idea of how much higher fuel Prices will be due to brexit then just check out the motorway service areas prices compared to supermarket prices

I got teached that from reading it on here

Nope

You seem to find it amusing because you failed to understand a comparison on difference in price and you tried to add to what I said in the hope of winning the point which made you look a bit daft really

No points to win ... it was a light hearted joke at my expense ... but did reiterate what you said yesterday, “Then came the price difference example of supermarket fuel vs motorway services as an example of what the price differences may feel like.”

this time its not the us..... the war in yemen is basically a proxy war between those allied to the saudi's and those allied to iran...

but yes... price will go up.... and because oil is priced in US dollars... it will hit the UK expandentially harder....

I read today there may be a slight jump in the oil price tomorrow (especially in Asia where most of Saudi oil is sold), but the market is well able to absorb production losses. There was a huge drop in supply lately from Iran and Venezuela and the market ignored it.

The issue of security for the rest of Saudi production could be an issue. I've worked at the refinery that was hit and I was gobsmacked that the Houthis in Yemen could reach out that far. Fortunately the majority of the rest of Saudi production facilities are much further away.

the "slight" jump ended up being 20% at one point.... but has come down to around 10% now.....

but yes... it will eventually feed thru to the pumps.....

Agreed. Who needs experts eh?

If they manage to pin it on Iran and Trump gets to mobilise we'll have more to worry about than fuel prices. Good thing Bolton has gone.

Anyone else wonder if it is more than coincidence that Saudi takes a hit a day or two after Bolton gets his jitters? Pompeo is in Saudi today.

How long before they reach the $120 per barrel that the Scottish economy once independent was calculated on by the SNP?

Here is an interesting thing, did you know that their oil supply could run out in 90 years time? I didnt know they could calculate it and as well know how much oil is left, here is how, they would last for 90 years at the current rate of production. 85% of Saudi oil fields found have not been extracted yet, the ghawar oil field is the largest oil field in the world, holding over 70 billion barrels (11×109 m3), ghawar is able to produce 5 million barrels per day (790×103 m3/d) of oil.

Don’t worry shag most of it has to stay in the ground to prevent catastrophic climate change .We won’t run out of oil.

The Stone Age didn’t end because they ran out of stones. The age of oil won’t end because we ran out of oil.

Central

The UK experience is typically that retail prices increase far more readily than they decrease, so it's realistic to expect pump price rises, if this wholesale rise is sustained for a few days or more. Maybe it'll affect UK winter energy costs, as we're nearing to our colder weather. Fortunate that a good proportion of our electricity is greener.

Yet Saudi Arabia is the 2nd biggest producer of oil behind

Venezuela , a country that is so broke because of a bad deal enforced upon them by the U.S

Yea I got his point now, I was thinking a refinery making refined oil products he means first stage refinery making basic oil light crude, heavy, etc. Just a word thing, I've always tended to refer to them as processing plants.
