Generation Identity in the army

It's reported that two Generation Identify activists are in the army/navy. One serving on a Trident submarine.

Is this important, or do these people just follow orders, so whatever their personal views are, no matter how abhorrent, aren't relevent.

I have no experience of what army life is like, or what their employment rules are. So I'm asking genuinely here.

Can't see it being a problem - as long as they obey orders. Given their unthinking nature, that's likely.

I know the security vetting process is supposed to out those with links to extremism, left, right and religious. I imagine questions may be getting asked in this case.
