I did not realise that the queen could sack the PM.

Now that would be a turn up for the books

Benign dictatorship.

Their PR skills have been crafted skilfully over the years.

You do not climb to the top of the food chain and throw it away by doing things that will have the people rise up against you.

A turn-up for the books, really?

Who exactly is the Prime Minister? Try First Lord of The Treasury, not a Parliamentary Office like say Speaker of The House, but Minster of The Crown. Now who holds The Office of The Crown and therefore appoints and removes all Ministers of The Crown? That would be the person who invites an MP (or other person) to form a government and accepts their resignation when they loose the confidence of Parliament or Parliament is being prorogued for the purposes of a general election.

By the way when Parliament is opened every year our Monarch makes a speech where she tells the country what the order of business is for HER government, and the PM has to go to the Palace every week that Parliament is in session to report to their boss. Yet another clue who appoints and dismisses Ministers of The Crown.

Shame you fail to understand what happens in front of you. PMSL

Ask yourself why serving military swear an oath of allegiance to the monarch, not the elected leader, and you begin to understand the structure of the country.

Well the way things are going at present she might actually do a far better job - and I generally have republican sympathies so that is saying something.

Perhaps people should study more deeply the history of William III and the impact of the Glorious Revolution.....and that does not mean have a quick look at Wikipedia.

So many things to consider in respect of our current position.

Another reason Scotland can't secede.

Scottish independence requires repeal of the 1707 Act of Union, which is the foundation of the current nation state with a single crown.

Its repeal creates a return to the 1604 Union of the Crowns, whereby one person (James VI) wore the crowns of two neighbouring kingdoms .

Her investments will be geared towards brexit happening, so she's not going to do anything unless it suits her portfolio

If the Queen does get dragged into this, the UK's humiliation will be complete.

A 92-year-old woman, accountable to no-one, being asked to rule on the biggest constitutional crisis in living memory.

Lololol what a shambles.

And to achieve Royal Ascent who would have to sign this new Act into law? Can you see where I'm going with this? Can you see why it's never going to happen? And let's not forget this would all have to happen in Westminster, not Scotland.

You're completely deluded if you think Parliament (in westminster) would allow Scottish independence, you're equally deluded if you think the Queen would sign it into law (she has every right to refuse). I can't believe this has to be explained to an adult, Scotland had their chance hundreds of years ago, it's a failed state, militarily, economically and politically. You and Nicola Sturgeon can dress it up however you like, but if you genuinely believe it you're an idiot.

You can't even argue, you twist and turn, talk absolute rubbish and when you have nothing left to say of merit you name call. Attempting to discredit by attacking the person not the argument, pathetic. Aren't you needed on the set of Little Britain, my lady?
