So it seems Boris Johnson has taken on Trump tactics to just lie about things in major conferences, have the people eat it up and ignore it when it's pointed out as a lie.

The latest being his rant about Kippers and how the evil EUs regulations are preventing Britain from trading them and transporting them how we'd really like to, and once we Brexit, we'll be free from the EU red tape holding Britain back.

Only small issue is, those regulations are British ones, not EU.

The EU wants to ban curved bananas: source, Boris Johnson.

Fabrications that became truth in the minds of many because they wanted to believe it was true.

It's the same with the kipper - people want to believe it is true because it fits their prejudice, so it must be true.

Yes. Ironically as I watched that I just shook my head knowing it to be fake and being astounded at the roar of approval from the mob watching.
