"I am not sure where I heard it, is it true? It seems that trump is not so keen on it as brexit wont happen." If we do "Brexit" then yes we will get a trade deal with America but I suspect it will be weighted heavily in the Americans favour.

"I am not sure where I heard it, is it true? It seems that trump is not so keen on it as brexit wont happen." It will happen. Trump wants to trade with the UK. Might be a bit in USA favour but still great for the UK. Buy a fair bit of equipment from the USA and I would welcome cheaper prices. Just got to leave the undemocratic EU. Boris will be the man to do it. We also have the commonwealth, China, south Korea and many other nations wanting trade deals.

We should all become independent people who can negotiate our own individual deals. That way you can get the best deal possible for you on your equipment!

" a few things there my old "sport" 1) the UK is already in trade surplus with the US (its one of the few countries the uk does) so what sort of deal do you think trump would go for that is going to make that situation any "better"? 2) You buy equipment from the US... great... hows that "pound against the dollar" doing for you.... down about 15% i hear...hmmmmm 3) you said trade deals with other countries... South Korea .... already have an FTA as part of the EU China... great, but chinese deals tend to be done in US dollars... and since we have managed to devalue the pound against the dollar by roughly 15%... yey!!! (oooh i mentioned that in 2) the commonwealth... our friends the old colonies!!! they will come save us!!! well australia, new zealand and india are all objecting to our proposed WTO schedules.... and Canada have said that CETA (the canada eu agreement) will not "rollover" as the uk government have requested... and language in CETA also states the UK can't be given as good a deal as if they were in CETA.....

"I'm really really not in favour of free trade deals, they pretty much favour big business and the rich, my personal favourite is WTO tariffs which we can set as when we wish per import. " In favour of making things more expensive instead of cheaper, very interesting

"Just get out head down arse up and supply everyone ....make profits ...simple ...we can survive without the dictators of the eu" It'll be head down, take what's forced on / in to you, from the overlord. The UK is seriously demented to walk away from so many trade deals - that UK citizens have paid for!!! by virtue of its contributions to the EU. Some now want to scrap that investment and wander free, ready to be scavenged upon You couldn't make it up And anyone thinking that WTO is easily possible and better for the UK, must consistently resist accepting and understanding the evidence that's out there. People wanting Brexit are doing the bidding of the very rich: how easy they have made it for them. A typical person with just a few years of their life left, is likely to die, seeing the UK in tragedy, potentially having worse state services, due to a poorer country. I don't wish anyone to have such a dreadful time, especially when it's avoidable.

"I am not sure where I heard it, is it true? It seems that trump is not so keen on it as brexit wont happen." Suppose brexit happens, there will be a deal with the US but bear in mind: they're 320million people and around 19 trillion dollars economy whilst the UK is 65million people and around 2.5 trillion dollar economy; essentially it will be USA trading with the uk... Suppose brexit does not happen, then it will be the UK trading as a bloc that is close to 600million people and a 19 trillion dollar economy; essentially it will be the US trading with the UK as part of the EU economic bloc... There will be a difference when the US trades with the uk vs The UK/EU.

Might be a bit in USA favour but still great for the UK. There will be no trade deal until the Northern Irish border is sorted. And by this I mean no physical hard border. The Americans (Trumps White House) already said this. Strange it wasn't picked up by most British media. Buy a fair bit of equipment from the USA and I would welcome cheaper prices.
