Boris is interested in Boris, so any understandings or agreements that they think are in place only hold whilst there's something in it for him. The ERG called the shots with May, creating the mess we have now - Boris will just use them to get power.

Boris is just waiting for a Gove or Stewart surge. He's a bit like Rabb and Leadsome - a leaver that has to put his hat in as people are behind him but he knows he isn't PM material. If he does get in there'll be a vote of no confidence within weeks.

Still, if Johnson's margin in the final round of MPs' voting is overwhelming, hopefully we might be spared another six weeks of this charade when his rival throws in the towel.

If he doesnt deliver what they want, he will be history in double quick time. I shall enjoy watching him get booted out by the rabid brextremists
