Rory Stuart says he took opium.

Gove says he took cocaine.

Leadsome says she smoked cannabis.

It's become the go-to question for every interview.

Better than skipping through wheat fields as a child, I guess.

Are they trying to appear human?

Does that mean that the dealers that sold them it in the first place, if serving a current jail term get the stay out of jail free card? That would be cool!

I don’t see it as a mistake to experiment once in a while, the press love to stir up shite and blow it all out of proportion to maximise the impact.

So some of them have tried drugs once upon a time and I bet some still do from time to time on their hols ect.

As long as they are not high at work now that would be wrong.

If he had been snorting cocaine at the time then yes he would be hypocritical but it was something he had tried years before but no longer indulged in. I seem to remember a post of yours laughing about how in your youth you and your mates had a motorbike you used to ride around on even though you had no licence let alone insurance, tax etc does that mean you shouldn't be allowed to drive on the roads again!?

Why would what someone did in their early life be of any interest to anyone now . As far as I am aware Michael Gove is a practising Christian. I cannot see what relevance this has to the leadership contest.

Could you name some of the successful legislation McVey has got through parliament that is the basis of making her a highly successful politician.

Baring in mind she was voted out of Wirral West after only one term. She then got dropped into Chair of the British Transport Police authority whilst she kicked her heels before being dropped into the very very safe Tory seat of Tatton.

You know Tatton which voted to remain in the E.U.

Good grief, what has happened to the Conservative Party?

Candidates threatening to suspend Parliament to drive through policy of a minority government; candidates threatening to renege on international financial commitments; candidates boasting how they will walk away from 750 international agreements with nothing to replace them.

The party has gone mad.

The bigger the idiot they elect, the greater the dilemma for the moderates who make up the majority of MPs.

Do they put personal, short-term interest first and get behind a kamikaze pilot in No 10, or do they defect in mass to the Lib Dems to create a Lib/Lab coalition to usurp the current administration in a vote of confidence?

Maybe a more realistic assessment might be that they are al working extremely hard to get the best possible deal for UK.

With many years of experience in politics behind them , I am sure that their knowledge vastly exceeds ours .

All they have to do is endure that we leave the EU by Oct 31 and deliver what was promised to the electorate. At least 3 candidates have given unconditional support to that.

Haha yes, that the UK can leave the EU and have better terms than we do as a member.

Yes, good luck trying to deliver that.

Personally I have no issues with anyone using any of the alkaloid stimulants or suppressants. In fact I am against all prohibition laws that are meant to restrict the freedom of consenting adults because they do not work and only criminalise vast sections of an otherwise law abiding society.

What I find outrageous is that CokeSnortingGove demanded that any professional found to have used class A drugs should be stripped of their career and professional qualifications for life! Him and every other politician who has admitted of been found to have used controlled substances and then voted to tighten prohibition laws should be removed from public office and face criminal charges for their past possession and use of such substances and then banned from ever holding another public office or position of trust.

For me the key bit is the order. If someone admits to using and then later looks to tighten the laws I can get that. Its open and may come from experience. Its the fact it's only come out due to a sniff and tell which grates on me. That plus the report he was also writing about it at the time...

"Rory Stuart says he took opium.

Gove says he took cocaine.

Leadsome says she smoked cannabis.

It's become the go-to question for every interview.

Better than skipping through wheat fields as a child, I guess.

Are they trying to appear human?

"

If there was ever a poster to be made on the effects of drugs, then these dickheads should be on it

And Boris tried cocaine too, don't tell Pat..

He will be mortified.. Why would what someone did in their early life be of any interest to anyone now . As far as I am aware Michael Gove is a practising Christian. I cannot see what relevance this has to the leadership contest.

As it is there are already there outstanding candidates , Esther Mc Vey , Boris, and Dominic Raab.

McVey? Outstanding? Well, yes, if being as thick as two short planks is outstanding. Today's gem about simply not having any votes about Brexit would solve the problem, is the idea of an imbecile. The woman gives morons a bad name . Hi. Whilst you are entitled to your opinion , I cannot see many people agreeing. She was an orphan and it is an achievement in itself to become a cabinet minister. A skilled and highly successfull politician with a great track record behind her.

She only issue at the moment is that she is not currently a favourite to win the race.

I prefer to admire successfull people. They inspire me."

McVey is a complete clown.....how she could be an inspiration for anyone is entirely beyond me

According to the Spectator, Winston Churchill, Anthony Eden and John F Kennedy all took speed while in office and became hooked on barbiturates.
