Otherwise its swings and roundabouts, even more so if you get enhanced pay for overtime.

"If you can't pay your staff decent wages, your business model is flawed. I say this as someone who ran his own company. 70% of start ups fail - so either adapt your business model or accept that it wasn't very good and sell up. " I must presume your business model was flawed as you refer to it in the past tense, the wages of a younger member of staff reflect their lower level of experience/productivity surely you must realise this! It's just a pre election bribe similar to what Corbyn did with student loans, he just wants someone else to pay for it!

"were is he going to get the money to pay all workers 10 pounds a hour from the magik money tree againi for one will lay off all my weekend staff and some of my day statt too" You sound like one of those who screamed about the plan for a minimum wage, saying it would destroy the economy and cost millions of jobs. Er, no. Pay people a proper wage for a change.

"were is he going to get the money to pay all workers 10 pounds a hour from the magik money tree againi for one will lay off all my weekend staff and some of my day statt too" At the moment we the tax payers subsidise every employer whose staff get benefits, thats child and working tax credits and housing benefit, all of which are means tested. I for 1 see no reason why we should subsidise Jeff Bezos (who makes $275,000 MILLION A DAY worldwide) and does not pay a penny in corporate tax on his UK profits! And if your employees need to claim benefits in order to keep a roof over their heads, a fire in the hearth, food in their bellies and cloths on their back, then you not them are being subsidised by the tax payer! I think you really need to rethink your attitude and maybe keep quiet about how badly done to you will be if forced to pay those you employ £10 an hour, because some of us will start asking questions like exactly how much of a benefit scrounger are you? And how much do we have to pay your employees so you can have your posh house, new car every 6 months and your 2/3/4 holidays a year?

"were is he going to get the money to pay all workers 10 pounds a hour from" Overhaul the tax system and take a closer look at corporations that don't pay tax yet somehow their ceos come out with 10 million plus in bonuses whilst their employees are on benefits and struggling to survive? Crazy idea I know. I do find it funny how corporation tactics have conditioned society into thinking that those who want a better minimum wage are the problem.

"I really don't get this desire to piss on 16 to 18 year olds . The media portray them as lazy and self absorbed yet don't want them to get minimum wage when they go out and graft. We are talking about " minimum wage" for Christs sake. How about we become enablers for young people entering the workplace instead of critics because we have more than enough of them. I'm sure many of you who are critical of the young had someone who gave them a hand up or took you under their wing . "were is he going to get the money to pay all workers 10 pounds a hour from the magik money tree againi for one will lay off all my weekend staff and some of my day statt too" I am afraid Corbyn has no idea how to run a business . He could not even manage his own financial affairs let alone those of others . I think he had to downsize his house as he over stretched himself financial. His plan will deprive many young people of the opportunity to work and gain experience. However I think Corbyn does not care about anyone else but himself. He even deprived some of his children the opportunity to attend a private school.

So, the argument that the rich and successful use is that they are worth it so why does that not apply to anyone on minimum wage? Do you not believe that people should be rewarded commensurate with their ability and dedication? Or do you think that an underclass of slave wage earners is the natural order of things?

"I think the argument is that anyone is paid what they are worth. It is actually impossible to be underpaid. " I don't know who has this argument 'anyone is paid what they are worth' , when it's clear that there are many people who are definitely underpaid. There are even people who rather fancy rewarding people on a basis akin to slavery. It's thought that almost a tenth of the mature population may be being underpaid - and we also know that care work is often remunerated at very low levels of pay. Carers allowance is an extreme example, where people can work almost 24/7 caring for someone, for less than £70 per week: though not a job, they are doing the same work that an employed carer would do. Care workers have also been paid illegally low wages over many years, whilst spending the night with people that they care for - the real-world evidence doesn't support the claim that it's impossible to be underpaid and that no one is The fact that wages rise on an ongoing basis also reflects that people have to wait 12 months, for example, until their pay is increased, meaning that for some of that delay, they will have been underpaid too. 'It is actually impossible to be underpaid' . We factually know that thousands of people have been and that there are people who still continue to be underpaid. It's clear that many employers need to take better care of their staff and also to potentially follow the lead of the Richer Sounds founder, who is giving his staff stakes in the business, reflective of their contribution to the company's success.

So, if a public body with some teeth comes along (the EU) and demands to know why you don't declare where all your income comes from and why you don't pay your way in taxes then its very easy to invest time and money (tax deductible of course) in destabilising the EU by empowering nationalists/populists to rally around the traditions of our country.....and who stands to gain most from those traditional views.....why let me guess.....the landed gentry and bankers who we so recently bailed out! It is always interesting when people refer to the Murdoch media and tend attempt to suggest that it distorts people's view of the world . They never tend to consider that their own views night be distorted by other factors. Most people tend to get information from a variety of different sources so it is difficult to see how any one set of media could leave to a distortion.

"If you can't pay your staff decent wages, your business model is flawed. I say this as someone who ran his own company. 70% of start ups fail - so either adapt your business model or accept that it wasn't very good and sell up. " In a manufacturing industry wages can make a difference, and if a company incurs additional costs, then only two things will occur. 1) they put their prices up, however what if they cannot for fear of losing their customers? 2) reduce costs, loose one or two employees Neither benefits the masses
