If you were leader of the opposition, how much would you trust Theresa May to engage with now, to enable a joint programme to conclude Brexit?

Is there an element of her passing on the poisoned chalice, that she willingly grabbed from Cameron, on to the opposition?

She's wants the withdrawal agreement ratified.

Labour, as I understand it, doesn't have a problem with it.

It's her own party who is blocking it.

The difference of opinion is over the political declaration.

The agreement is a treaty and legally-binding; the declaration is not, it's just an aspiration.

Let's say Theresa May shows inclination to rewrite it along the lines of a custom union.

Why should Labour trust the Conservatives to implement it?

May will be gone as soon as the UK exits and any new leader can rewrite the declaration to suit their agenda.

What concrete assurance can May give Corbyn in return for getting the WA through?

She's shown herself pretty hopeless at these things so far.

She'll definitely use anyone for anything, she has no moral compass. And if she can achieve anything, whilst getting someone to shoulder the blame, she'll gladly do it.

She'd like some glory but I'm unsure whether she would forsake that if she could get labour branded with blame. I think she would probably prefer that.

dunno why every one is freaking out brexit aint gona happen it never was.they have spent 3 yrs trying to scare the leave side in wanting to stay that aint worked so they gona have to stop it themselves she just looking for a few scapegoats so it aint all on her.all brexit has done is shiwn the public that living in a democracy is an illusion.none of of have a say in how they run the country.we just think we have a say

labour have said they will let it thru... if they attach a "confirmation vote" clause to the bill..... (been party policy since the party conference)

all she has to do is agree to that......

what she is trying to do is bend it enough that labour will say yes without the vote.... if labour don't they will get crushed!
