What will the EU say?

May 22 was conditional upon Parliament ratifying the Withdrawal Agreement.

Without ratification, it's April 12.

what may just did what put the pressure on corbyn, now we will see if labour put there "confirmation vote" promise to the test.....

so we could see the break up of the tory party and the labour party

Hi sara, hope you had a good birthday seeing as it wasn't overshadowed by that "Westminster play" (bad luck to say BREXIT!)... oops

Technically, what she has done is stated that she is going to ask the EU if she can kick it further down the road.

Thing is, they already agonised over this last week and made it very clear that if the withdrawal agreement was not accepted by parliament by 29th March, Brexit day would be April 12th - because that is the deadline regarding stating intentions to contest EU elections.

Parliament want to try and push through an amendment to prevent no-deal by suggesting even more delays.

What they're all failing to accept and acknowledge is what the legal position is regarding the EU elections.

And would the EU really want to risk having a bunch of Eurosceptic british MEP's being elected for, what, a limited time?

Let's get real.

The EU is not going to agree to an extension beyond April 12th

No extension beyond April 12 unless the House of Commons can decide what it wants by the end of this week
