I'd vote for the Non vote party. This gang of shadowy voters has infiltrated our political system recently and are now claiming a share of the vote. At this rate they will become a no pressure group, offering free peace and Lurve and no commitment to anything.

I’ll correct you there, people were convinced to leave purely to benefit a rich few. Not all leavers are bad people “who wanted to leave”, that’s very judgemental. Some are just confused and easily lead.

No where on the advisory referendum did it say anything about 29th March 2019. As you may remember at the time, it was mentioned that withdrawal would take around five years if done properly.

So democracy is dead because?

As I remember, the EU said if there were reason enough a country could withdraw A50 (or something like it) but it seems too simplistic to say the referendum was advisory so lets all forget about it.

Well I agree, this entire debacle could have been avoided by not having a referendum in the first place. They’re a terrible way to make such important choices for the country.

It was clearly triggered several years too early, before a detailed clear plan was formed. We arrived at the inevitable end point, which is that Westminster is nowhere near ready, to even know what they want, never mind negotiate any trade deals. They should have figured out what the deal would look like before triggering article 50.

Well I agree, this entire debacle could have been avoided by not having a referendum in the first place. They’re a terrible way to make such important choices for the country.

Then you go back to the argument of a government was elected and there is an opposition to oppose.

There is no winning outcome. Plus the government did wait when it was being told to trigger - Labour would have trigger immediate... and on.

Looks like this may be a possibility as May has received a no confidence motion from 70 association chiefs. The threshold is 65 and now 800 officers will take part in a vote on her leadership of the party due to her handling of Brexit. It is the first time a sitting PM has received a challenge to their leadership from their grassroot campaigners.
