"A ferry company with no ferries...it’s worked for National Express coaches for years, not one coach is owned by them. Just a small matter that not many are aware of. " And the recompense to Eurotunnel, because the conservatives had inappropriately awarded that contract to the ferry company, without ferries or financial backing. £33m. Obviously not in the order of £billions for that but the overall costs of researching alternative options, awarding contracts as well as the legal challenge costs from Eurotunnel, would raise this figure substantially. The Bank of England announced that voting to leave the European Union has cost Britain more than £440 million a week in lost growth since the referendum, thats £727 per second. And would today total more than £62 billion This would have paid for over 30 hospitals to have been built Or employed almost 3 million nursers

"Does anyone really know how much money has been eaten up by Brexit so far? I can start with the 2 billion to DUP to buy 11 votes for the Mrs May. And then there was a big bung to Nissan about two days after the referendum to stop them from relocating to mainland europe immediately, no idea how much that was but must have been in the hundreds of millions? And what about giving a contract for ferry services to a company with no ferries? Can everyone chip in please with details of any verifiable costs that have been incurred so far. Lets see if we can add it all up and see just how much it has cost to stave off some splintering in the tory party for a couple of years. Also, see my other thread "Brexit - what could we have spent the money on instead?"." The 3 items you picked out in the OP had no cost related to Brexit. The DUP getting money was in return for a confidence and supply arrangement on votes in Parliament on a whole range of issues, following a general election in order for the Tories to command a majority, so is not specific to Brexit. Big bung to Nissan? No government money was handed over to Nissan as Nissan didn't keep to their end of the bargain. When Nissan moved production of the X-trail over to Japan, they broke the agreement and also lost the government funding. Money to Ferry company? If you're referring to Seabourne freight, then no government money was given to them as they didn't fulfill the contract. Their Irish backers pulled out of the deal, the deal then collapsed. Government money to Seabourne freight was conditional on them delivering a service, as they failed to deliver a service then they failed to get the funding from the government.
