Of course there are standards which must be upheld and of course the Judge should receive some caution about momentarily dosing off since it could affect the case she's hearing if it isn't acknowledged, but is it an overreaction to make a big deal about a judge falling asleep on one occasion in a lifelong career? Is it newsworthy? She dosed off.. Big deal! What are your thoughts?

There might be more to it than we know. Maybe she’s in on antibiotics or something.

I think it’s a vast over-reaction. Imagine how bored she must have been though lol

Vast overreaction! Bored!

WTF!

How can there be any faith in any ruling or sentence handed down by a judge who is known to fall asleep while trying cases?

Whoever this judge is they have to go, regardless of reason or excuse for falling asleep.

She's on a yellow card now.

It doesn't say how serious the case was.

The more serious the case, the more likely it might have been a red card.

It's an error with potentially serious consequences, which she will recognise and be keen to correct and overcome. It's important that her health is checked, so that any major potential issues can be identified. People must be allowed to be human, which includes making mistakes.

It's not a question of my politics, it is not about sacking a judge, its about trust in the administration of justice. Once any judge falls asleep on the job they must be immediately removed from the bench because regardless of apologises or reasons their JUDGMENT is open to question. Remember a judge can always temporarily halt a trial without reason for a period (even if it is to take a nap). This judge didn't, and fell asleep in court!

surely if she fell asleep then her mind was not 100% on the case she was presiding over before she fell asleep.
