"“"Analysts predict that in the event of no deal, sterling could fall by over 20%. Is this such a bad thing?” Mr Davis referenced Project After, a purported plan by civil servants for tax cuts and tariff reductions in the event of no deal, as evidence of the "huge opportunities" such an outcome could offer. "This could include cuts in VAT and corporation tax, a variety of tax reliefs” So a fall in the value of the pound of 20% is a good thing and the resulting chaos will deliver an “opportunity” to cut VAT, CT and other taxes? Am I missing something here or does this man just keep making himself look more and more stupid by the day? Well, he thinks Brexits a good idea, nuff said really " A further 20% drop in the value of GBP will put it on parity 1:1 with the US Dollar and will set the U.K. up for a massive fuel price crisis within the foreseeable future. As individuals we are all personal importers and so this kind of thing is only going to cost us all dearly.

"Don't worry, the richer you are the less you will feel or notice the pain of those right at the bottom... And the police and army will always protect those at the top from the plebs with pitchforks... Oops! Now where are those 20,000 police and 50,000 troops when you need them. I know activate the reserve call-up, those 3,500 men who have been made homeless over the last 8 years will be more than willing to do the bidding of the politicians who put them on the streets in the first place for a hot meal and a cot in a tent (if they are lucky) for the time it takes to put down any civil unrest... Or maybe they wont..." You are so cynical it is beyond belief.Your thinking is very very warped

"The deluded con themselves and the others lap it up, as they just want it to be done asap - without the hassle of the details. Foreign holidays booked potentially to be re-priced upwards and spending money devalued. Everything in the shops more expensive, lowering demand, whilst stuff crawls over borders. Plenty of rich people who will do very nicely, thankyou. " I don’t class myself as rich by any means and I think that I clearly champion the benefits of remaining with our European neighbours, but from a purely selfish and personal perspective, I will make an, albeit short term, killing from a further drop in value of £GBP.

"You are so cynical it is beyond belief.Your thinking is very very warped" Yep, I am cynical. But I notice you are not denying what I am saying. Why is that? And just as an aside how are you doing in quietly stockpiling tinned food so that when the shelves empty you're OK for a while? Just remember that if you've been noticed 'stocking up' when others start having aching bellies from hunger they will remember you've been hoarding and you're a hard-line brexiter, or have you kept that hidden from those who live around you? Just a couple of questions you may want to ponder.

I am intrigued to know how that will benefit you and so how you think it a good idea?

It is the same mentality that has people earning minimum wage who own fuck all thinking it is a good idea to cut taxes for millionaires, landowners and earning and increase taxes on spending.

I always keep my cuboards well stocked, this comes from being self employed and have at times had no money so when I did a planned for future problems nothing to do with brexit,my life does not resolve around brexit although I talk about it here.
