while labour are being led by corbyn abbott and co then i can see them clinging to power. personaly i reakon ya gona see a rise in extreme left and right partys starting to appear think the population have finally had there eyes opened to the fact the main partys have no idea what there doing.both labour and the tories are finished as the partys they have been

Once one of the two main parties breaks, I think the other will follow - at least for a time.

Currently they both know neither or the other can function. But whilst the other party pretends to be united with a cluster of experienced politician in one place, the perogitive is to see who blinks first.

Once the pressure is off and one splits, the other party will have a 'rebellion' or break away.

Labour made itself unelectable for a decade in the 1980s.

The Conservative Party made itself unelectable for a decade in 1995-2005.

The Labour Party today appears to be following the same pattern.

It will be the Conservative Party's turn next.

Depending on how bad the Brexit business goes from just bad to really fucking bad it is entirely possible that both parties split.

It would be great if they fracture and dissipate into the sewers etc, as the party has evolved into a toxic nightmare for its citizens and country. The highly toxic and incompetent minority driving party policy and direction, which is absolutely stupid, to put it mildly. The clueless power-hungry animals inside of it will aim to continue in politics, or wherever their low-grade capabilities supports their public prominence and earning potentials. It's a tough call atm what will happen to the party - it depends on the hapless leader, to a great extent, who only has party preservation as a goal.

She was chair of the Tory Party and a Leave campaigner before quoting amid complaints about racism.

She confirms the inclusion of a referendum in the 2015 party manifesto was a ruse they never expected to deliver.

It was designed to hold the Tory Party together.

They expected another coalition and the Lib Dems would veto the idea.

This chimes with what Tusk said on BBC.

A promise they would never have to deliver on.

"Isn't that just the most reckless, awful politics?" asks Ch 4.

"To have done that, to have gambled the country's future on that."

"Yep, it is. Yes."

"Shouldn't somebody say sorry?"

"I am not sure sorry is enough."

Seems like the End game is beginning for the Conservative party .

May's threat of agree a deal or delay Brexit is putting

Massive pressure on the ERG , it is letting the Labour party back a 2nd Refrrendum which could lead to Remain winning by a landslide , which leaves Mogg , Fox & co in a very weakened position. Will they collapse to party pressure or will they resign as a group of 20 to 30 & form a new right wing party ?
